NEW COMMITS:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Georgia has picked up a pair of in-state verbal commitments for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Atlanta, Ga. native\u00a0Arie Voloschin\u00a0<\/strong>and Peter Sacca <\/strong>of Norcross, Ga.<\/p>\n

Both talented swimmers will join\u00a0Keegan Streett<\/strong><\/a>, Reese Branzell<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Brennan Cheney<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Jackson Bates<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Sam Parker<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Mitchell Norton<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Henr\u00e9 Louw<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Zach Kohm<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Ryan Wylie<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as a member of the Bulldogs\u2019 class of 2025.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I am super thrilled to announce my commitment to swim and study at the University of Georgia! None of this could be possible without the help of my coaches, family, and friends. A special thank you to the University of Cincinnati for helping me out so much during these uncertain times! Go dawgs!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Voloschin swims year-round with Dynamo Swim Club and most recently won the 100 breast at the Southern Premier Invitational after placing 17th in that event at Juniors East. He raced three events at the U.S. Open and recorded a trio of best times at Junior Nationals last long course season.<\/p>\n

His best times include:<\/p>\n

  • 50 free – 20.45<\/li>\n
  • 100 free – 44.67<\/li>\n
  • 100 fly – 50.06<\/li>\n
  • 100 breast – 54.57<\/li>\n
  • 200 breast – 2:06.83<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    A recent graduate of North Springs High School, Voloschin is a three-time Georgia 4-5A State Championship finalist. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American won the 100 free as a senior and placed eighth in the 100 breast during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n

    After originally committing to Cincinnati, Voloschin has decided to stay closer to home and will take a gap year.<\/p>\n

    Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

    “I\u2019m super excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study as a BULLDOG!! I\u2019d like to thank my family, friends, and coaches for helping me on this journey #godawgs ?”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

    A talented sprinter, Sacca does his club swimming with Spartans Aquatic Club and most recently hit six new best times at the intrasquad meets in July and August. He had a trio of top-12 finishes at Plantation Sectionals in March and raced two events at Juniors East in December.<\/p>\n

    His best times include:<\/p>\n

    • 50 free \u2013 20.34<\/li>\n
    • 100 free \u2013 45.32<\/li>\n
    • 100 back \u2013 50.47<\/li>\n
    • 100 fly \u2013 48.68<\/li>\n
    • 200 fly \u2013 1:52.19<\/li>\n
    • 200 IM \u2013 1:50.88<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Last summer, he placed 11th in the 50m fly at Georgia LCM Seniors after placing 16th in the 100m fly at the Bulldog Grand Slam. He also won the 100 IM at the Georgia State Meet in December where he also grabbed bronze in the 50 free.<\/p>\n
