NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>In what is already a star-studded class, Stanford University has added a new addition in\u00a0Aurora Roghair<\/strong> of Iowa City, Iowa, who will arrive on campus in the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Amy Tang<\/strong><\/a>, Anna Shaw<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Samantha Tadder<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Torri Huske<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Meghan Lynch<\/a><\/strong>, as well as diver\u00a0Lauren Burch<\/strong>, as a member of the Cardinal\u2019s class of 2025.<\/p>\n

A talented freestyler, Roghair swims year-round with Iowa Flyers Swim Club and is a U.S. Open qualifier. She finished fourth in the 500 free, eighth in the 200 free, and ninth in the mile at Juniors West in December.<\/p>\n

Last summer, she won the 200m free and 1500m free at Des Moines Futures where she also took fourth in the 800m free. She then went on to finish 14th in the 400m free at Junior Nationals.<\/p>\n

  • 100 free \u2013 50.95<\/li>\n
  • 200 free \u2013 1:48.40<\/li>\n
  • 500 free \u2013 4:47.41<\/li>\n
  • 1650 free \u2013 16:35.60<\/li>\n
  • 100 back \u2013 57.17<\/li>\n
  • 200 back \u2013 2:00.84<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Iowa City West High School, Roghair is a four-time Iowa State Championship finalist. The two-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American won both the 200 free and 500 free as a junior while taking third and second, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n

    Roghair will add her talents to a training group that will include Morgan Tankersley\u00a0<\/strong>as well as future classmate Tadder. She would’ve placed in the C-final of the 500 free as well as scored in the top-14 of the mile at the 2020 Pac-12 Championships where, under head coach Greg Meehan<\/strong>, Stanford is coming off its fourth-straight conference title and the team is the three-time defending National Champion.<\/p>\n
