Taylor Murphy announces verbal commitment to New Mexico.<\/em><\/p>\n

NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Missouri City, Texas native\u00a0Taylor Murphy\u00a0<\/strong>has selected the University of New Mexico to continue her academic and swimming career beginning in the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Caitlin Beery<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as a member of the Lobos’ class of 2025.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

A talented sprint freestyler and butterflyer, Murphy does her club swimming with First Colony Swim Team and is a Futures qualifier. She most recently competed at College Station Sectionals and finaled in two events at TYR Junior Nationals in March 2019. Last summer, she recorded four best times at the Gulf Summer Championships before going on to place fourth in the 50m fly at Southern Zone Seniors.<\/p>\n
