Coughlin has the #1 time in the 100 free (48.05), 100 back (53.62), 200 back (1:57.38), 100 fly (51.90), 200 fly (1:56.44) and 400 IM (4:11.76).<\/p>\n<p>Sara McLarty, University of Florida, is the only other woman to rank first in more than one event.  McLarty sits in the top spot in the 500 (4:44.31) and 1000 yard free (9:41.53).<\/p>\n<p>Pac-10 swimmers have the #1 ranking in nine of 13 events.  Aside from Coughlin, who has six #1 spots, Pac-10 leaders include: Tara Kirk, Stanford (100 breast, 1:00.69); Agnes Kovacs, Arizona State (2:13.40); and Kristen Caverly, Stanford (200 IM, 2:00.73).<\/p>\n<p>Other female leaders are: Maritza Correia, Georgia (50 free, 22.62); and Jessi Perrequet, North Carolina (200 free, 1:47.09).<\/p>\n<p><b>Men<\/b><br \/>\nThe top spots in the 13 men&#39;s events are occupied by 12 different individuals.  Only Florida&#39;s Carlos Jayme has been able to record a #1 time in more than one event.  The Brazilian sprinter ranks first in the 50 (20.11) and 100 yard free (44.13).<\/p>\n<p>Three teams have three top rankings: Florida, Minnesota and Virginia.  Aside from Jayme, Florida&#39;s Ian Chadsey also has a national top time &#8212; 2:00.11 in the 200 breast.<\/p>\n<p>Minnesota&#39;s Terry Silkaitis ranks first in the 200 free (1:37.24), Todd Smolinski has the nation&#39;s fastest 100 back (48.56) while Jeff Hackler swam the swiftest 100 breast (54.92).<\/p>\n<p>Virginia&#39;s Fran Crippen leads the nation in the 1000 free (8:59.53).
