NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Downington, Pa. native\u00a0Tori Howard\u00a0<\/strong>has opted to remain in-state for her college career and has sent her verbal commitment to Penn State beginning in the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

She will join Molly Pedersen<\/strong><\/a>, Molly Carson<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Shelby Kahn<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Marly Lough<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Maura Fluehr<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Mac Sullivan<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in State College as members of the Nittany Lions\u2019 class of 2025.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I\u2019m so excited and grateful to announce my verbal commitment to further my academic and swimming career at Penn State University!!! Thank you to my family, friends, and coaches who have helped and supported me along the way! ? #WEARE”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented backstoker, Howard does her club swimming with Upper Main Line YMCA and is a Junior National qualifier. She competed in both backstroke events at Juniors East in December and placed 10th in the 100 back at YMCA SCY Nationals in April 2019. Last summer, she registered seventh-place showings in both the 50m back and 100m back at YMCA LCM Nationals.<\/p>\n
