USA Diving on Friday announced Legacy 2028, a new long-term fundraising campaign aimed to support USA Diving members through the next two full Olympic cycles.<\/p>\n

The campaign\u2019s aim is to raise $5 million over the next eight years with a goal, \u201cto create a\u00a0sustainable development program to support USA Diving athlete members from their first dive all the way to the Olympic podium.\u201d The 2028 end date coincides with that year\u2019s Olympics in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

The funds raised by Legacy 2028 will go toward three specific areas: grassroots programming, junior development and the high-performance program. A website, legacy2028.com<\/a>, has been set up to solicit donations from individuals.<\/p>\n

The Legacy 2028 campaign coincides with the Giving Games program by the USOC, which seeks to raise funds for U.S. sports organizations at large.
