NEW COMMIT: <\/b>Bedford, N.Y. native <\/span>Emily Grasso <\/b>will head to the Sunshine State for her college career after verbally committing to the University of Miami beginning in the fall of 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Lucy Miller<\/strong><\/a> and <\/span>Jacey Hinton <\/b><\/a>\u00a0as a member of the Canes\u2019 class of 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n

She told <\/span>Swimming World:<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

\u201cSuper stoked to announce my verbal commitment to swim at the University of Miami! I\u2019m so grateful for everyone who has helped me along the way to get here, especially my family, coaches, friends, teammates and teachers. GO CANES ??\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented breaststroker, Grasso swims year-round with Empire Swimming and is a Futures qualifier. She finished ninth in both the 100 breast and 200 IM at the MIT Invitational in December where she registered four lifetime bests. Last summer, she won the 50m breast and was the runner-up in the 100m\/200m breast at the Florida International Championships.<\/span><\/p>\n
