He earned two best times at the Toyota U.S. Open in December where he finaled in the 50m free and 100m free. Last summer, he won the 100m free at Florida Gold Coast Seniors before going on to grab silver in the 100m free at Greensboro Futures.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&#8220;Georgia was the top school on my list and the perfect fit for me. UGA has a great top-ranked athletic program and it\u2019s a strong academic school that offers my first choice major. It also has a phenomenal coaching team, a supportive academic advising staff and a solid team of swimmers. I\u2019m super excited to spend my college career at the University of Georgia!! Go Dawgs!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Also competing for Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Branzell is a four-time Florida 2A State Championship finalist. He won the 100 free and 200 free as a junior while taking first and ninth, respectively, in those events during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n<p>Branzell will add valuable depth both individually and on relays when he arrives in Athens at the start of the 2021-22 season.
