NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Brigham Young University has picked up a big verbal commitment from in-state standout\u00a0Tanner Nelson\u00a0<\/strong>of South Jordan, Utah, for the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“Excited to announce my verbal commitment to Brigham Young University! I would like to thank my friends, family, and coaches in helping me through this process! I can\u2019t wait to be a cougar! GO COUGS!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Nelson, who does his club swimming with Utah Valley Aquatics, owns eight U.S. Open and Junior National standards. He most recently collected three golds and two silvers at Utah Seniors after placing fourth in the 1000 free and ninth in the 500 free, and 11th in the 400 IM at Juniors West.<\/p>\n

Last summer, he won all seven of his events at Utah LCM Seniors before going on to win the 200m IM and 400m IM at Des Moines Futures where he also finished third in the 200m breast.<\/p>\n
