NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Texas A&M University has picked up a new in-state verbal commitment for the class of 2025 from backstroker Meredith Brown\u00a0<\/strong>of Sugar Land, Texas.<\/p>\n

She will join fellow Texas natives Shannon Bagnal<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Sarah Holt<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in College Station at the start of the 2021-22 season.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I\u2019m thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to swim at Texas A&M University! I couldn\u2019t be more thankful for my coaches, family, and friends for helping make this possible. I\u2019m so excited to be a part of the impressive program that Coach Bultman has built. Gig \u2018em!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented backstroker, Brown does her club swimming with First Colony Swim Team and owns the U.S. Open cut in the 100 back. She most recently raced to 10th in the 100 back at College Station Sectionals after finaling in that event at Juniors West in December. Last summer, she finished 12th in the 100m back at Des Moines Futures.<\/p>\n
