In our last poll, we wanted to know: <strong>Which world record would have been in the most danger to fall had the US Olympic Trials happened in 2020<\/strong><strong>?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The US Olympic Trials were set to take place June 21 &#8211; 28, 2020, but have been moved back a year to help stop the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The meet was expected to be a huge spectacle as the last official Olympic Trials before the Olympic Games.<\/p>\n<p>To celebrate what would have been Trials week, we at\u00a0<em>Swimming World\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/2021-trials-vision-the-year-of-bobby-finke-in-the-1500-free\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wrote about what possibly could have happened<\/a> had Trials been going on.<\/p>\n<p>Team USA swimmers were on a roll at the start of 2020, as some of the sport&#8217;s biggest names &#8211; <strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong>, <strong>Katie Ledecky<\/strong>, <strong>Regan Smith<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Lilly King<\/strong> were looking to be in really good shape ahead of this summer, putting up the top times in the world for the year in their respective events.
