{"id":437872,"date":"2020-07-01T22:30:30","date_gmt":"2020-07-02T05:30:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=437872"},"modified":"2020-06-29T15:52:25","modified_gmt":"2020-06-29T22:52:25","slug":"iupui-opens-class-of-2025-recruiting-with-verbals-from-luke-dibley-logan-kelly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/iupui-opens-class-of-2025-recruiting-with-verbals-from-luke-dibley-logan-kelly\/","title":{"rendered":"IUPUI Opens Class of 2025 Recruiting with Verbals from Luke Dibley, Logan Kelly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NEW COMMITS: <\/strong>Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) has officially opened their class of 2025 recruiting with a pair of verbal commitments from <strong>Luke Dibley <\/strong>of Middlebury, Ind. and Austin, Minn. native\u00a0<strong>Logan Kelly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Under head coach <strong>Matt Bos<\/strong>, the Jaguars finished fourth overall in the team standings at the 2020 Horizon League Championships.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">LUKE DIBLEY<\/h1>\n<p>Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&#8220;I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at IUPUI! Thank you to all my family, friends, and coaches who helped me through this process! I am looking forward for what is to come! Go Jags!!!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A versatile swimmer, Dibley does his club swimming with Northridge Area Swimming Association and is a Junior National qualifier. He finaled in six events last year at Indiana LCM Seniors before going on to finished 24th in the 200m back at NCSAs.<\/p>\n<p>His best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>400 IM &#8211; 4:04.17<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:46.05<\/li>\n<li>500 free &#8211; 4:36.79<\/li>\n<li>200 back &#8211; 1:54.70<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A rising senior at Northridge High School, Dibley is a two-time Indiana State Championship finalist. He placed 10th in the 500 free during his junior campaign while racing to 15th in that event as a sophomore.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">LOGAN KELLY<\/h1>\n<p>Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&#8220;I chose IUPUI because I felt like it would be a good opportunity to further my swimming and academic careers. The coaching staff there seems to value the same ideas that I and the training philosophy fits my style well. I am exited to be a part of the Jaguars swim team and hopefully move forward to bigger and better things.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A talented breaststroker, Kelly swims year-round with Atlantis Swimming Federation and is a U.S. Open qualifier. Last summer, he achieved five best times at Minnesota LCM Seniors where he earned bronze medals in both the 100m and 200m breast.<\/p>\n<p>His best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100 breast &#8211; 55.19<\/li>\n<li>200 breast &#8211; 2:02.35<\/li>\n<li>200 IM &#8211; 1:54.57<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also competing for Austin High School, Kelly is a six-time Minnesota Class A State Championship finalist.
