NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Florida has received a new verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from\u00a0Peter Bertzmann\u00a0<\/strong>of Chapel Hill, N.C.<\/p>\n

He will join Macguire McDuff<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Aryan Nehra<\/strong><\/a>, David Fitch<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Joaquin Gonzalez Pinero<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Mason Laur\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>and\u00a0Oskar Lindholm<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Gainesville as a member of the Gators\u2019 class of 2025.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m very proud and grateful to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Florida! I\u2019d like to thank my family, friends, and coaches for supporting me along my journey! Go Gators!!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

An extremely versatile swimmer, Bertzmann does his club swimming with North Carolina Aquatic Club and owns numerous Junior National standards. He most recently placed fifth in the 1000 free and eighth in the 400m IM at Cary Futures after earning a best time in the mile at Juniors East in December. Last summer, he raced to fourth in the 400m IM at North Carolina Seniors before going on to achieve a pair of lifetime bests at Junior Nationals.<\/p>\n
