In addition to her on-deck duties, she serves as Cal&#8217;s recruiting coordinator and works closely on budgeting, while also helping improve the Bears&#8217; social media presence and enrich alumnae relations. Recently, she shared her insights through a CSCAA webinar titled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gbqDUBaGJLg&amp;feature=youtu.be\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v%3DgbqDUBaGJLg%26feature%3Dyoutu.be&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1592066323391000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFpLNShoi4Sk8HlKpd-LN8eE9rC9g\">Embracing the Unknown &#8211; My Leap to Push My Learning<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Dani has only been with us at Cal a short while, but we have developed a real partnership and she has been invaluable with her contributions to our team,&#8221; McKeever said. &#8220;She is a strong role model not only for our swimmers, but also for women in our profession. I look forward to having Dani continue being a big part of our program.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Korman came to Cal in the summer of 2019 after four years at MIT, where she led the women&#8217;s team to top-10 finishes at the NCAA Division III Championships each season, including a program-best fifth in 2017. On the men&#8217;s side, MIT captured four conference titles and was sixth at the 2019 NCAA meet. Combined, her teams broke 27 school records and earned 71 All-America awards.<\/p>\n<p>Among honors received outside of the pool, 10 of Korman&#8217;s student-athletes collected CoSIDA Academic All-District recognition, both the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s teams earned CSCAA Scholar All-America awards each year, and Margaret Guo was named the 2017 NCAA Woman of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to her work at MIT, Korman spent three seasons as an assistant coach with the Yale women&#8217;s swimming &amp; diving program and was an assistant men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s coach at Johns Hopkins from 2008-12. She began her career as a graduate assistant and interim women&#8217;s head coach during a stint at Carthage College from 2006-08.<\/p>\n<p>Korman is a 2006 graduate of Kenyon College, where she graduated with honors as an economics major and was part of two Division III national championship teams. She was a seven-time All-American at Kenyon, set the conference record in the 200-yard butterfly and served as team captain as a senior.
