NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Danville, Calif. native\u00a0Brennan Cheney <\/strong>has announced his verbal commitment to the University of Georgia beginning in the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

He will join\u00a0Jackson Bates<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Sam Parker<\/strong><\/a>, Mitchell Norton<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Henr\u00e9 Louw<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Zach Kohm<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Ryan Wylie<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as a member of the Bulldogs\u2019 class of 2025.<\/p>\n

Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019m very excited to announce my verbal commitment to fulfill my lifelong dream of swimming and studying at the University of Georgia. Thank you to my family, coaches and friends for helping me achieve my dream. Glory goes to God. Go Dawgs!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Cheney does his club swimming with the Crow Canyon Country Club Sharks and most recently earned a pair of best times at Carlsbad Speedo Sectionals and placed eighth in the 50 free at Far Westerns in 2019. Last summer, he notched six lifetime bests at Santa Clarita Speedo Sectionals before going on to earn silver in the 50m free and bronze in the 100m free at Far Westerns.<\/p>\n
