In our last poll, we wanted to know:\u00a0<strong>Are you getting in any water, flume or pool?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With the coronavirus quarantine keeping a lot of people locked inside their homes, it has caused many to be sidelined from the pool with no real definitive date of when it will be safe to return. In some parts of the world like the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/arno-kamminga-goes-59-24-over-100m-breaststroke-in-amsterdam-time-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Netherlands<\/a> and in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/xu-jiayu-reportedly-hits-52-3-100-back-in-long-course-time-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">China<\/a>, pools have been reopened and elite athletes are back training. In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/sarah-sjostrom-on-training-in-lockdown-free-sweden-on-eve-of-now-delayed-europeans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sweden<\/a> for example, there was never a lockdown put in place.<\/p>\n<p>But in places like the United States and Great Britain, it has been more difficult to find pool time. British national teamers\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/adam-peaty-back-on-the-hunt-olympic-champ-stalking-tokyo-from-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adam Peaty<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Ben Proud<\/strong>, among others, have been able to swim in their backyard thanks to personal pools flown into their backyard. Australia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/rio-sprint-king-kyle-chalmers-happily-contained-in-his-own-backyard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kyle Chalmers<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>also had a pool flown into his backyard so he could chase the 100 free gold medal in Tokyo next summer.<\/p>\n<p>Some pools in the US have started to open, but many more are still closed.
