Photo Courtesy: Isaac Janssen \/ Kentucky Athletics<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Brown, an accounting major from Kokomo, Ind., is a 2019 and 2020 NCAAs qualifier and a 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier. He earned an honorable mention All-America in 2019 on the Wildcats\u2019 400 freestyle relay and in the 200 IM and 400 free relay in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>A two-year Student-Athlete Advisory Committee officer, Brown attended the 2020 NCAA Leadership conference. He was a four-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll and was a 2019 CSCAA Scholar All-America First Team member.<\/p>\n<p>Seidt leaves Kentucky as one of the most decorated swimmers in program history, a 21-time All-American who made four trips to the NCAA Championships and won the NCAA Elite 90 Award. Last summer, she won gold at Phillips 66 Nationals in the 200 backstroke and silver in the event at the World University Games. The 2019 Arthur Ashe Female Sports Scholar of the Year was a three-time All-SEC pick and won four SEC golds.<\/p>\n<p>The kinesiology major from Louisville was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll four times, was a three-time CSCAA Scholar All-America first teamer and the 2019 SEC Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>Both Brown and Seidt are members of UK Athletics Society of Character. Brown has devoted over 100 hours of service to the Humane Society, God\u2019s Pantry and the Salvation Army. Seidt has logged more than 200 hours of service to groups including the Hope Center and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Bluegrass.<\/p>\n<p>The McWhorter Award gives post-graduate scholarships of $20,000 to the top male and female senior athlete from the conference\u2019s 14 schools. The 26 finalists each receive a $10,000 scholarship. Kentucky&#8217;s duo joins <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/alabama-nominates-zane-waddell-for-mcwhorter-award\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alabama\u2019s<\/a> <strong>Zane Waddell<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/auburns-bailey-nero-named-nominee-for-sec-mcwhorter-award\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Auburn\u2019s<\/a> <strong>Bailey Nero<\/strong> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/floridas-tori-bindi-nominated-for-secs-h-boyd-mcwhorter-award\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Florida&#8217;s<\/a> <strong>Tori Bindi<\/strong> as swimmers nominated for the 2020 award.<\/p>\n<p><em>The H. Boyd McWhorter Scholar-Athlete Postgraduate Scholarship has been presented annually since 1986 to the SEC\u2019s top male and female scholar-athletes.
