NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Alabama has earned a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2021 from Soquel, Calif. native\u00a0Kailyn Winter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

She will join\u00a0Krista Wheeler<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Sophia Garrison<\/strong><\/a>, Kasia Norman<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Anna Ogren<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Greta Gidley<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0next year in Tuscaloosa as members of Alabama\u2019s class of 2025.<\/p>\n

Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n

“From California to Sweet-Home Alabama?!! I am elated to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at the University of Alabama! Thank you to my family, coaches, teammates, and friends that have supported me throughout this incredible journey. I am so excited to be part of the Rising Tide!! ROLL TIDE”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Winter swims year-round with Quicksilver Swimming and owns the U.S. Open cut in the 100 fly with a pair of Junior National standards. She most recently won three events at the PCSC Senior Open after placing seventh in the 50 free and 13th in the 100 fly at Juniors West. Last summer, she earned bronze in the 50m free at Santa Clarita Sectionals and took eighth in the 100m fly at Junior Nationals.<\/p>\n
