NEW COMMITS: <\/strong>Braintree, Mass. native\u00a0Nick Toepfer\u00a0<\/strong>and Gavin Rogers <\/strong>of Highlands Ranch, Colo. have announced their verbal commitments to Louisiana State University beginning in the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

Both swimmers will join Brendan Hausdorf<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Baton Rouge as members of the Tigers’ class of 2025.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am excited and humbled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at Louisiana State University!\u00a0\u00a0I chose LSU because of the great coaching staff and team culture. I want to thank my family, coaches, friends, and teammates that have supported and encouraged me throughout this process. Geaux Tigers!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Primarily a butterflyer, Rogers swims year-round with Highlands Ranch Aquatics and owns a pair of U.S. Open cuts. He recently had four top-5 finishes at Potomac Valley Seniors and finaled in the 200 fly at Juniors West over the winter. He was the 200m fly runner-up at Colorado LCM Seniors last summer and finished 10th in that event at Des Moines Futures.<\/p>\n
