NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>East Carolina University has scored their second in-state verbal commitment for the fall of 2021 from Salisbury, N.C. native Katie Knorr\u00a0<\/strong>who will join\u00a0Reece Alexander<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in Greenville next year.<\/p>\n

Her twin sister,\u00a0Emily Knorr<\/strong>, has verbally committed to West Virginia<\/a> and her older brother,\u00a0Ethan Knorr<\/strong>, is currently a sophomore for the Pirates.<\/p>\n

She told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am excited to announce my verbal commitment to study and swim at East Carolina University. \u00a0I would like to thank all my coaches, family and friends who have helped me get to where I am today! \u00a0I can\u2019t wait to be a Pirate, join my brother, and continue the legacy.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A talented backstroker and IMer, Knorr does her club swimming with Mecklenburg Swim Association and owns the Winter Juniors cut in the 200 back. She most recently was the 200 back runner-up at North Carolina Seniors where she achieved five lifetime bests after. Last summer, she finished 18th in the 400m IM at Greensboro Futures.<\/p>\n
