He placed 23rd in the 100 fly at Juniors West in December and recorded four lifetime bests at Phoenix Sectionals last year. This past summer, he collected two silvers at Colorado LCM Seniors before going on to take 10th in the 200m IM at Des Moines Futures.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&#8220;Thrilled to announce I will be furthering my academic and athletic careers at The University of Arizona. Huge thanks to my family, friends, and coaches that have helped me get to this point.&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A current junior at Heritage High School, McMahon has competed at the Colorado 5A State Championships twice during his career thus far. He most recently raced to sixth in the 100 back at the Washington Open following three best times at Juniors West. Last summer, he grabbed gold in the 100m back at Western Zones and competed at Junior Nationals.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>&#8220;I\u2019m so honored to verbally commit to continue my swimming and academic career at the University of Arizona.
