NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>South Dakota State University has recently picked up a new commitment for the fall of 2020 from Mission Viejo, Calif. native\u00a0Matt Sorenson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“I am so thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to South Dakota State University! I am looking forward to growing my athletic and academic career in a place I know that will help me foster growth. Thanks to all my friends, family, teammates, and coaches that have helped get me to where I am now I couldn\u2019t have done it without you! I\u2019m so excited to be starting my collegiate swimming career! Go Jacks!”<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Primarily a breaststroker, Sorenson swims year-round with SET Swim Team and most recently placed eighth in the 200 breast at Minnesota Seniors after earning three best times at Carlsbad Sectionals. Last summer, he earned bronze in the 100m breast at MVN Junior Olympics before going on to achieve a best time at Mount Hood Futures.<\/p>\n
