The branded material has been made available in English, French and Spanish.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2014, in April, WADA and the anti-doping community worldwide have celebrated \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/wada-ama.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=b1807e279506be6f85bf0da1c&amp;id=759978fab1&amp;e=7fe1459b44\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Play True Day<\/a><b>\u2019<\/b>\u00a0in dedication to Clean Sport. The day is &#8220;intended to raise awareness among athletes, the sporting public and others about the importance of protecting Clean Sport&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Athletes already take to social media on a regular basis to raise awareness of the impact of cheating and call out those who cheat. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/swimming-world-the-soak-week040620\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adam Peaty, in the midst of a charity static-bike fundraiser for healthcare workers in Britain that pressed home the &#8216;stay home&#8217; message,<\/a> made the point from his toes upwards on the eve of Play True Day:<\/p>\n<div class=\"oembed-wrap\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">My weapon of choice, even my cycling socks know what\u2019s up <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/UVuBQjM37N\">pic.twitter.com\/UVuBQjM37N<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Adam Peaty OBE (@adam_peaty) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/adam_peaty\/status\/1247798066691756038?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 8, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>In a statement, WADA noted: &#8220;The inspiration for <b>Play True Day<\/b> stems from a WADA-hosted Education Conference in 2013, which was attended by 17 Latin American countries. While the celebration started as a small Latin American initiative, last year, the Agency\u2019s digital and social media campaign reached over six million people with numerous individuals and organizations taking part from around the globe.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This year, given the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic is having around the globe, WADA seized the opportunity to engage the global anti-doping community \u2013 and all stakeholders in the fight to protect Clean Sport \u2013 in solidarity around the theme <b>Play Safe on Play True Day 2020<\/b>, asking them to participate in a digital and social media campaign by sharing what they are doing and why to curb the spread of the virus.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>WADA President Witold Ba\u0144ka<\/strong> said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI wish to thank everyone who is taking part in raising awareness about the importance of <b>Playing Safe for Play True Day 2020<\/b>.
