The Mission Viejo Nadadores\u2019 swim star qualified in the 200 and 400 meter freestyle (2:00.71, 4:12.85), the 200 butterfly (2:10.31) and 400 IM (4:47.92). Shortly after relocating to Southern California from Reno, Nev., to swim with renowned coach, <strong>Mark Schubert<\/strong>, Crom set a national age group record in the 200 yard fly. In 2018 as a 14-year-old, she clocked 1:56.00 to take down <strong>Cassidy Bayer<\/strong>\u2019s 2013 record by 1-hundredth of a second!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWhen I think about what stands out about Katie, it would have to be her sense of adventure and discipline,\u201d says Katie\u2019s mom, Stacy. \u201cThere\u2019s not a lot of time for many extracurricular activities with morning and evening practices, as well as high school.
