For the 16th year in a row, Swimming World has recognized the top masters swimmers in the world by awarding the title of World Masters Swimmer of the Year to 12 swimmers from around the globe.\u00a0 This annual recognition is sponsored by P2Life.<\/a><\/p>\n

\"p2life\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Richard Burns<\/strong> (75-79) <\/strong>and Laura Val (65-69)<\/strong>, both from Tamalpais Aquatic Masters in northern California (San Rafael), lead the field.\u00a0 Since Swimming World<\/em> first recognized the Top 12 Masters Swimmers of the Year for the 2004 season, Burns has been selected five times and Val, 14 times.<\/p>\n
