But it was <strong>Reece Whitley<\/strong> who had the big swim of the night, going 50.85 in the 100 breaststroke as <strong>Dave Durden<\/strong>\u2018s Golden Bears won all but one event on the night went from second place to a commanding lead.<\/p>\n<p>Cal now leads the meet with 576 points. Arizona State is second with 414, followed by Arizona (387), Stanford (385.5), Utah (296) and USC (279.5).<\/p>\n<p>The Golden Bears put 12 in the finals Saturday night as they close in on the Pac-12 Backstroke<\/h3>\n<p>Cal\u2019s<strong> Daniel Carr<\/strong> led a 1-2-3 seeded finish for the Golden Bears top open the final day of the meet.<\/p>\n<p>The junior took the top seed in 1:39.65, finishing ahead of fellow junior <strong>Bryce Mefford<\/strong> (1:40.74) and sophomore <strong>Hugo Gonzalez<\/strong> (1:40.78).<\/p>\n<p>Arizona\u2019s <strong>Thomas Anderson<\/strong> took the fourth seed in 1:41.74, ahead of Arizona State\u2019s <strong>Zachary Poti<\/strong> (1:41.79), who tied with Cal\u2019s <strong>Colby Mefford<\/strong> (1:41.79).<\/p>\n<p>Cal\u2019s <strong>Andy Xianyang Song<\/strong> took the seventh seed in 1:41.91, ahead of Stanford\u2019s<strong> Johannes Calloni<\/strong> (1:41.98).<\/p>\n<p>Cal finished with five in the finals.<\/p>\n<pre><b>Event 17 42.04.<\/p>\n<p>Cal\u2019s <strong>Ryan Hoffer<\/strong> took the second seed in 42.13, setting up an exciting final.<\/p>\n<p>Arizona\u2019s <strong>Marin Ercegovich<\/strong> took the third spot in 42.37, just ahead of Cal\u2019s <strong>Michael Jensen<\/strong> (42.50) and Arizona State\u2019s <strong>Cody Bybee<\/strong> (42.64).<\/p>\n<p>Utah\u2019s <strong>Liam O\u2019Haimhirgin<\/strong> tied with Bybee for the fifth seed at 42.64, while Arizona State\u2019s <strong>Jack<\/strong> <strong>Dolan<\/strong> (42.71) and <strong>Evan Carlson<\/strong> (42.77) rounded out the top
