But it was <strong>Reece Whitley<\/strong> who had the big swim of the night, going 50.85 in the 100 breaststroke as <strong>Dave Durden<\/strong>&#8216;s Golden Bears won all but one event on the night went from second place to a commanding lead.<\/p>\n<p>Cal now leads the meet with 576 points. Arizona State is second with 414, followed by Arizona (387), Stanford (385.5), Utah (296) and USC (279.5).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Here is a look at the session:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a a 1-2-3-5 finish in the 400 IM.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Sophomore <strong>Hugo Gonzalez<\/strong> dropped five seconds from his prelims time to win in 3:36.60, finishing five seconds ahead of teammate<strong> Jason Louser<\/strong> (3:41.98).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Cal&#8217;s <strong>Sean Grieshop<\/strong> was third in 3:42.19, finishing a second ahead of Arizona&#8217;s <strong>Etay Gurevich<\/strong> (3:43.19).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Cal&#8217;s <strong>Chris Jhong<\/strong> took fifth in 3:43.51, ahead of Arizona State&#8217;s <strong>Benjamin Olszweski<\/strong> (3:44.62), Bears who went 1-3-4.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Arizona State&#8217;s <strong>Cody Bybee<\/strong> was second in 45.19, followed by Cal&#8217;s <strong>Zheng Quah<\/strong> (45.24) and <strong>Pawel Sendyk<\/strong> (45.48).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Arizona&#8217;s <strong>Noah Reid<\/strong> took fifth in 46.15, followed by USC&#8217;s <strong>Nikola Miljenic<\/strong> (46.16), Arizona to hold off a trio of Arizona State Sun Devils.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">ASU freshman <strong>Jack Dolan<\/strong> was second in 1:33.99, followed by fellow freshman <strong>Julian Hill<\/strong> (1:33.56) and junior<strong> Carter Swift<\/strong> (1:33.64).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Arizona&#8217;s <strong>Daniel Namir<\/strong> finished fifth in 1:33.96, ahead of teammate <strong>Jorge second-fastest time in the NCAA this season, only behind Minnesota&#8217;s <strong>Max McHugh<\/strong> (50.67).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Stanford&#8217;s <strong>Hank Poppe<\/strong> took second in 52.33, going 2-3 with teammate <strong>Brennan Pastorek<\/strong> (52.37).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Cal&#8217;s <strong>Karl Arvidsson<\/strong> finished fourth in 52.62, ahead of Utah&#8217;s <strong>Andrew Britton<\/strong> (52.95) and<strong> Jaek Horner<\/strong> (53.14).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Arizona&#8217;s <strong>Ty Wells<\/strong> (53.29) and<strong> Ryan Foote<\/strong>
