It is not, and never will be about individuals or nations. Today\u2019s outcome does not change my stance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And this from his fellow Olympic champion and good mate <strong>Kyle Chalmers<\/strong>: \u201cI\u2019m in full support of my team mate Mack\u2026.again it\u2019s out of our control\u2026. I support Mack and what Mack stands for\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There will be no wild back slapping, no celebrations \u2013 but hearts beating a little quicker and chests pumped, knowing that Mack Horton is vilified \u2013but not that he will buy into it.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s got a job to do. He\u2019s got a gold medal to defend. To train harder than they have ever trained and to try and put the Coronavirus out of their minds \u2013 the next serious threat to the Games they have worked so hard for.<\/p>\n<p>Having spent two decades inside the Australian swim team\u2019s inner sanctum, they will all get down and get the job done- that\u2019s the Aussie way.<\/p>\n<p>Their coaches, stop watches at the ready, won\u2019t be surprised with the times their charges are pumping out.<\/p>\n<p>They will be better than yesterday, better than last week. His stance won&#8217;t change and that is fine.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;But we&#8217;re not in the business of commenting on foreign athletes or whatever the outcome is.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We all know in the world there is a lot of opinion about this case.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For us &#8230; whatever the outcome is, we&#8217;ll take it, we&#8217;ll respect the outcome and the process that has been given. And we&#8217;ll move on\u2026.because the focus is on the Olympics\u2026.and definitely not on this case.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But there will be a real spring in their step and a little \u201cnudge, nudge..wink, wink\u2026say no more\u201d attitude.<\/p>\n<p>Because there is Olympic gold to be won..a date with destiny\u2026you have to be ready.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Picture this.
