Day 2 Results<\/a><\/p>\nMAC Women’s Swimming Championships: 500 Freestyle<\/strong><\/p>\nThe 500 Freestyle went to Alyssa Shugarman<\/strong> from Eastern Michigan tonight at a time of 4:44.51. She overtook the rest of the field by over a second. Coming behind Shugarman was Brittney Beetcher f<\/strong>rom Buffalo in 4:46.23. Third, and rounding out the field of swimmers under 4:50 in the A-final, was Izzy Jones<\/strong> of University of Toledo. MAC Women’s Swimming Championships: 200 IM<\/strong><\/p>\nThe 200 IM went to Sarah Watson<\/strong> from Akron in 1:57.65. She kept her place from her prelims swim, where she was the fastest qualifier. Joining her on the podium was Camila Lins de Mello<\/strong> from Miami University, Ohio (1:58.31) and Daisy Platts f<\/strong>rom Eastern Michigan (1:58.83). MAC Women’s Swimming Championships: 50 Freestyle<\/strong><\/p>\nIn the 50 Freestyle, almost every swimmer was under 23 seconds. Buffalo went 1-2, in a big boost for the team race, with Toni Naccarella (<\/strong>22.48) and Jillian<\/strong> Lawton<\/strong> (22.64). MAC Women’s Swimming Championships: 1-Meter Dive<\/strong><\/p>\nThe first of the divings events began with the 1-meter. MAC Women’s Swimming Championships: 200 Freestyle Relay<\/strong><\/p>\nIn the last event of the night, the 200 Freestyle relay, Akron (1:29.39) took a narrow win over Buffalo (1:29.89). The foursome of Paulina Nogai, Morgan Waggoner, Sarah Watson<\/strong> and Sofia Heneli<\/strong> led from the start and refused to cede the advantage for the entirety of the race.
