T. Branin Natatorium in Canton, Ohio.<\/p>\n<p>Dublin Coffman won their first-ever championship crown, finishing with 214 points to end Mason&#8217;s two-year reign. New Albany was right behind them with a score of 205 for second place and Upper Arlington took third with 187 points.<\/p>\n<p>Click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2020-ohio-di-state-championships\/high-school\/2020\/February\/21?rtn=%2Fresults%2Fhigh-school\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HERE<\/a>\u00a0for full results and team scores.<\/p>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<p>1. Dublin Coffman \u2013 214<br \/>\n2. New Albany &#8211; 205<br \/>\n3. Upper Arlington &#8211; 187<br \/>\n4. Mason &#8211; 159<br \/>\n5. Hudson &#8211; 149<\/p>\n<p>Dublin Coffman began their quest for the team title as\u00a0<strong>Gretchen Schneider\u00a0<\/strong>(26.49),\u00a0<strong>Ellie Andrews\u00a0<\/strong>(27.47),\u00a0<strong>Hannah Bailey\u00a0<\/strong>(24.29), and\u00a0<strong>Emma Bowman\u00a0<\/strong>(23.63) combined to win the opening 4&#215;50 medley relay in 1:41.88. Mason was second in 1:42.21 and New Albany was a close third in 1:42.31.<\/p>\n<p>Powell Olentangy Liberty&#8217;s <strong>Olivia Lynch\u00a0<\/strong>dove to first on the one-meter board, finishing with a final score of 428.55 for the win. Cinci Mount Notre Dame&#8217;s <strong>Sarah Krusinski\u00a0<\/strong>finished second with a score of 398.65 while Medina Highlands&#8217; <strong>Madeline Lutzko\u00a0<\/strong>took third with 388.05 points.<\/p>\n<p>Anderson&#8217;s <strong>Grace Hastings\u00a0<\/strong>cruised to first in the 200 free, stopping the clock in 1:46.99 for the win. Dublin Coffman&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kristyn Sabol<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/kentucky-wildcats-get-verbal-from-butterflyer-kristyn-sabol-for-2020-21-season\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">who has committed to Kentucky<\/a>, also got under the 1:50-marker in 1:47.77 for second and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/hudson-explorers-paige-mccormick-sends-2020-verbal-to-louisville\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">future Louisville Cardinal<\/a>\u00a0<strong>Paige McCormick\u00a0<\/strong>of Hudson was third in 1:50.14.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after helping her medley relay team to victory, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-juniors-finalist-ellie-andrews-verbally-commits-to-texas-for-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">soon-to-be Texas Longhorn<\/a> Andrews was back in the water to successfully defend her state title in the 200 IM, winning the event in 2:00.83. Lewis Center Olentangy&#8217;s <strong>Martina Peroni\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 2:01.63 while Gahanna Lincoln&#8217;s <strong>Marie Belli\u00a0<\/strong>took third in 2:03.09.<\/p>\n<p>Springboro&#8217;s <strong>Hannah Hill\u00a0<\/strong>splashed-and-dashed her way to the gold medal in the 50 free, clocking in with a quick 23.04 for the win. Upper Arlington&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Riley Huddleston\u00a0<\/strong>secured silver with a time of 23.20 while bronze belonged to Ursuline&#8217;s <strong>Bella Matesa\u00a0<\/strong>in 23.28.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kiara Anchrum\u00a0<\/strong>of Mason flew to the top of the podium in the 100 fly, getting her hands to the wall the fastest in 54.48 for the state title. Closely following her was Lewis Center Olentangy&#8217;s <strong>Cameron Kuriger\u00a0<\/strong>(54.76) in second and Bailey (54.82) in third as the top three were all under 55 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Hill showed her sprint talent by adding the 100 free title to her 50 free gold from earlier, racing to the wall in 50.15 for another gold medal. It proved to be a tight race as Sabol grabbed the silver medal in a close 50.20 and bronze went to Matesa who closely followed in 50.23.<\/p>\n<p>Centerville\u2019s<strong>Nicola Lane <\/strong>dropped almost seven seconds from her prelims time to win the 500 free with a final time of 4:47.23. Hastings, who finished third in this event last year, clocked in at 4:48.84 for the runner-up spot while Dublin Jerome&#8217;s <strong>Maya Geringer\u00a0<\/strong>took third in 4:52.58.<\/p>\n<p>Upper Arlington&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caroline Porterfield\u00a0<\/strong>(23.40),\u00a0<strong>Caroline Colombo\u00a0<\/strong>(24.05),\u00a0<strong>Avery Catalano\u00a0<\/strong>(23.63), and <strong>Emma Schueler<\/strong> (23.47) joined forces to win the 4&#215;50 free relay in 1:34.55. They held off a charging New Albany who took second in 1:34.96 as Hudson wound up third in 1:35.34.<\/p>\n<p>After finishing third in the 100 back last season, Lane found herself with the gold medal in the event this year after powering home in a final time of 54.71 for her second win of the night. Springboro&#8217;s <strong>Maggie Clough\u00a0<\/strong>(55.15) and New Albany&#8217;s <strong>Carly Meeting\u00a0<\/strong>(55.67) finished second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Andrews added another state title to her name after winning the 100 breast in a final time of 1:01.12. Fremont Ross&#8217; <strong>Alexis Prenzlin\u00a0<\/strong>got her hands to the wall in 1:02.30 for the runner-up spot while Akron Firestone&#8217;s <strong>Madeline Dyer\u00a0<\/strong>finished third with a time of 1:03.45.<\/p>\n<p>New Albany&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lexi Elkovitch\u00a0<\/strong>(52.06),\u00a0Meeting (51.10),\u00a0<strong>Mia Lachey\u00a0<\/strong>(51.43), and\u00a0<strong>Ava Lachey\u00a0<\/strong>(50.57) combined to win the 4&#215;100 free relay in 3:25.16 to conclude the meet.
