Tennessee, coached by\u00a0<strong>Matt Kredich<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ashley Jahn<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Rich Murphy<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Josh Huger<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Dave Parrington<\/strong>, fought off the Florida Gators on the final day as the Vols came out on top with 1108 points ahead of Florida&#8217;s 1079.5.<\/p>\n<p>The Tennessee men have 10 titles with the last coming in 1996, but the women have never won the conference crown coming as close as second in 2012 when it was in their home pool.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/floridagators.com\/sports\/mens-swimming-and-diving\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Florida men<\/a> also won the men&#8217;s team title at the championships in Auburn, Alabama.<\/p>\n<p>Tennessee&#8217;s\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/erika-brown-breaks-american-record-in-100-butterfly-at-sec-championships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Erika Brown<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>won three individual titles in the 50 free, 100 fly and 100 freestyle, including breaking an American record in the 100 butterfly. She also moved up to 2nd all-time in the 50 and 100 free, and also put herself third all-time in the 100 butterfly. They were led by two American records from <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/kieran-smith-blasts-new-american-record-with-406-500-at-secs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kieran Smith<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/bobby-finke-annihilates-american-record-in-1650-at-secs-with-1412\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Bobby Finke<\/strong><\/a> in the 500 and 1650 respectively.
