The Colonial Athletic Association swimming and diving championships continues on Friday night in Blacksburg, VA. Events tonight include the 400 IM, 100 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Breast, 100 Back, Men’s 3m diving, and 400 Medley Relay.<\/p>\n

      Women’s 400 Individual Medley<\/h4>\n

      Sarah Margaret Locke<\/strong>, a senior for Towson, swam to a decisive win in the 400 IM, touching in 4:19.33. She was followed by Delaware’s\u00a0Audrey Duvall<\/strong> (4:21.00) and William & Mary’s\u00a0Grace Tramack<\/strong> (4:22.02).<\/p>\n

      Elizabeth Intehar<\/strong> of William & Mary grabbed the B final in 4:24.84.<\/p>\n

      Men’s 400 Individual Medley<\/h4>\n

      William & Mary senior\u00a0Ben Skopic<\/strong> completed the IM sweep, winning the longer distance in 3:50.12. He touched ahead of teammate Chris Balbo<\/strong> (3:51.07) and Drexel Dragon Jason Arthur<\/strong> (3:51.65).<\/p>\n

      Freshman Noah Field<\/strong>s of William & Mary snuck under the 4:00 barrier to win the B final (3:59.59).<\/p>\n

      Women’s 100 Butterfly<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Morgan Whaley<\/strong> added to the Dukes’ lead, touching first in the 100 fly (54.37). Finishing behind her were a pair of Towson teammates: Megan Cowan<\/strong> (54.48) and Maddi Mangum<\/strong> (54.81).<\/p>\n

      Hailey Ritter<\/strong>, also of Towson, took the B final in 55.91.<\/p>\n

      Men’s 100 Butterfly<\/h4>\n

      William & Mary senior\u00a0Jack Doherty<\/strong> took the 100 fly title, swimming a 47.24 to touch first. Paris Raptis<\/strong> of Drexel followed in 47.43, with Nick McClure<\/strong> from Towson grabbing third (47.90).<\/p>\n

      Dave Kneiss<\/strong> swam a 48.90 to win the B final.<\/p>\n

      Women’s 200 Freestyle<\/h4>\n

      Bonnie Zhang<\/strong> led from start to finish, taking top honors in the 200 free in 1:46.44.\u00a0Mira Selling\u00a0<\/strong>of Delaware (1:47.43) and\u00a0Megan Bull<\/strong>\u00a0of William & Mary (1:48.33) placed second and third, respectively.<\/p>\n

      Northeastern senior Megan Clark<\/strong> swam the second-fastest time of the evening, 1:47.60, to win the B final.<\/p>\n

      Men’s 200 Freestyle<\/h4>\n

      William & Mary’s\u00a0Colin Wright<\/strong> swam to an easy victory in the 200 free, touching first in 1:35.04. Finishing second was Stathis Malamas<\/strong> of Drexel (1:37.27), with Christopher Pfuhl<\/strong> of William & Mary grabbing third (1:38.18).<\/p>\n

      Graham Hertweck of William & Mary took the top spot in the B final (1:39.54).<\/p>\n

      Women’s 100 Breaststroke<\/h4>\n

      Gab Rudy<\/strong> of Drexel won a close race in the 100 breast, out touching Towson’s\u00a0Jacalyn Schoening<\/strong> 1:00.44 to 1:00.77.\u00a0Megan Marsh<\/strong> (1:02.57) finished third.<\/p>\n

      Delaware’s Taylor Draganosky<\/strong> swam a 1:03.54 to win the B final.<\/p>\n

      Men’s 100 Breaststroke<\/h4>\n

      Gianmichel D’Alessandro<\/strong> from UNCW won the 100 breast (53.86) over teammate\u00a0Josh Rigsbee<\/strong> (54.15) and William & Mary’s\u00a0Ian Bidwell<\/strong> (54.99).<\/p>\n

      Delaware’s\u00a0Eric Veit<\/strong> raced to a 54.86 and the B final win.<\/p>\n

      Women’s 100 Backstroke<\/h4>\n

      Drexel senior\u00a0Alexa Kutch<\/strong> dominated the 100 back, touching in 53.20. Anna Kenna<\/strong> of William & Mary (54.58) and Maddi Mangum<\/strong> of Towson (54.79) were over a second behind.<\/p>\n

      Sonora Baker<\/strong> of William & Mary swam a 56.33 in the B final for first.<\/p>\n

      Men’s 100 Backstroke<\/h4>\n

      UNCW senior\u00a0Will Countie\u00a0<\/strong>out touched William & Mary senior\u00a0Colin Demers\u00a0<\/strong>for the win, 46.49 to 46.69. Owen Robinson<\/strong> of Towson was third (48.22).<\/p>\n

      Jake Kealy<\/strong> of William & Mary broke 50 seconds to win the B final (49.89).<\/p>\n

      Men’s 3m Diving<\/h4>\n

      UNCW freshman Kolbein Bjugan\u00a0<\/strong>added the 3m title to his 1m title from Thursday, putting up 345.80 points. Towson’s Will Canny<\/strong> (322.10) and UNCW’s Trent Igoe<\/strong> (308.15) rounded out the top three.<\/p>\n

      AJ Dorner<\/strong> of Towson scored 258.65 to win the B final.<\/p>\n

      Women’s 400 Medley Relay<\/h4>\n

      Drexel’s foursome of Kutch (52.85), Rudy (1:00.90),\u00a0Alicia Diaz<\/strong> (54.27), and\u00a0Lera Nasedkina<\/strong> (50.40) combined to win the medley relay in 3:38.42. Towson was second with a 3:40.32, followed by James Madison’s 3:41.50. After the Dukes came William & Mary, Delaware, and Northeastern. UNCW was disqualified.<\/p>\n

      Men’s 400 Medley Relay<\/h4>\n

      It was a dominant performance by William & Mary, with Demers (46.43), Bidwell (54.11), Doherty (47.48), and Wright (41.87) combining for a 3:09.89. UNCW was second with a 3:12.48, followed by Drexel’s 3:14.25. Towson and Delaware rounded out the final.<\/p>\n
