But after day two of the 2020 Atlantic 10 Championships at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio, the team standings point to new champs if things continue.<\/p>\n<p>George Washington leads the women\u2019s competition after two days with Duquesne second. She went out fast and held on down the stretch, leading runner-up <strong>Carson Gross<\/strong> of Duquesne by nearly 2.5 seconds at the 400-yard wall. Freshman <strong>Shelby Stanley<\/strong> used a torrid 28.03 split in freestyle to claw back a gap of nearly a second and take silver in 1:59.62. Brinton was third in 1:59.78, also a B cut. The Fordham junior clocked in at 22.95 to claim the Atlantic 10 Championship, the only swimmer under 23 seconds in the morning or night. She went 22.67 in the morning, winning prelims by a half-second. They handily erased the standard set by GW in 2018-19 (1:31.5). Martin led off in 22.94, followed by McGee, <strong>Mia Bullock<\/strong> and Mullen.
