The second night of finals took place tonight at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. After taking the leads in their respective team battles, the William & Mary women and the UNCW men look to build onto their leads, while the other teams try to run them down.<\/p>\n

      Women’s 500 Freestyle<\/h4>\n

      Taking the first race of the evening was JMU junior Julianna Jones<\/strong> with a 4:45.16. She was followed by William & Mary’s Megan Bull<\/strong> (4:48.37) and Delaware’s Mira Selling<\/strong> (4:49.96).<\/p>\n

      Blue Hen freshman Natalie Dobrzykowski<\/strong> captured the B final in 4:54.67.<\/p>\n

      \"women's<\/p>\n

      Men’s 500 Freestyle<\/h4>\n

      Chris Balbo<\/strong> of William & Mary took the win in the 500, winning in a time of 4:29.74. Finishing second was his teammate Ian Bidwell<\/strong> (4:30.45), and Delaware’s Kevin Basch<\/strong> (4:30.53).<\/p>\n

      Mack Nesbitt\u00a0<\/strong> of UNCW claimed the B final in 4:32.00.<\/p>\n

      Women’s 200 Individual Medley<\/h4>\n

      Towson senior\u00a0Megan Cowen\u00a0<\/strong>(2:00.52) swam to first place in the 200 IM, defeating Drexel’s\u00a0Gab Rudy<\/strong> (2:01.68) and Delaware’s\u00a0Audrey Duvall<\/strong> (2:02.96).<\/p>\n

      Winning the B final was\u00a0Karen Siddoway<\/strong>, a freshman from James Madison (2:04.89).<\/p>\n

      \"women's<\/p>\n

      Men’s 200 Individual Medley<\/h4>\n

      Ben Skopic<\/strong>, the senior out of William & Mary, clipped the year-old meet record to record a time of 1:45.33. Runner-up Jason Arthur<\/strong> of Drexel led at the 150, but ultimately ran out of gas (1:46.44). Finishing third was Drexel’s\u00a0Paris Raptis\u00a0<\/strong>(1:47.93).<\/p>\n

      Flynn Crisci<\/strong> of William & Mary won the B final in 1:50.29.<\/p>\n

      \"men's<\/p>\n

      Women’s 50 Freestyle<\/h4>\n

      UNCW junior Evan Arsenault\u00a0<\/strong>(22.34) topped the field in the 50, defeating Megan Clark<\/strong> of Northeastern (22.44) and Missy Cundiff<\/strong> of William & Mary (22.59).<\/p>\n

      Maddi Mangum<\/strong> of Towson grabbed the B final win in 23.57.<\/p>\n

      Men’s 50 Freestyle<\/h4>\n

      After demolishing his own meet record in the prelims, William & Mary’s\u00a0Colin Wright<\/strong> touch just off of it, finishing in 19.18. It was enough to beat teammate Jack Doherty<\/strong> (19.73) and Towson’s Matthew Essing<\/strong> (19.75).<\/p>\n

      Senior\u00a0Will Countie<\/strong> of UNCW swam a 20.39 to finish first in the B final.<\/p>\n

      \"men's<\/p>\n

      Women’s 3m Diving<\/h4>\n

      Hope Byrum<\/strong> led a 1,2,3 sweep for JMU, scoring 318.15 points to finish ahead of teammates\u00a0Sarah\u00a0<\/strong>Stim\u00a0<\/b>(307.75) and\u00a0Faith Anderson<\/strong> (300.85).<\/p>\n

      Another Duke, junior\u00a0Samantha Ullman<\/strong>, took the B final with 238.40 points.<\/p>\n

      Women’s 200 Freestyle Relay<\/h4>\n

      The quartet of Cundiff (22.57),\u00a0Katie Stevenson<\/strong> (23.11),\u00a0Inez Olszewksi<\/strong> (23.06), and\u00a0Anna Kenna<\/strong> (23.62) from William & Mary held off the team from JMU to finish first with a time of 1:32.26. After the Dukes, UNCW took third. They were then followed by Drexel, Northeastern, Towson, and Delaware.<\/p>\n

      \"women's<\/p>\n

      Men’s 200 Freestyle Relay<\/h4>\n

      After taking the title in the 50 earlier, William & Mary’s Wright led off their victorious relay in 18.98. That time is not only a new conference record, but it also ties the fastest time in the country this season for any swimmer.<\/p>\n

      In addition to Wright’s leadoff,\u00a0Ian Thompson\u00a0<\/strong>(19.56),\u00a0Graham Hertweck<\/strong> (19.93), and\u00a0Doherty (18.95) combined to shatter the meet record with a 1:17.42 total time. They placed ahead of UNCW, Towson, Drexel, and Delaware.<\/p>\n
