Competing in the last meet of his collegiate career, Turk placed first in all four of his events.<\/p>\n<div>To kick off the weekend, Turk won the 200 IM finals race after narrowly missed the top spot in prelims, second only to <strong>Tristan Lin<\/strong> from Johns Hopkins (1:49.61). In finals, he made his move up to win the event, overtaking Lin by almost two seconds and touching the wall in 1:47.67.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/acc-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">More ACC coverage<\/a><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>To end the first night, the men\u2019s team of Turk, <strong>JP Becker, Charles Korndorffer<\/strong> and <strong>Alec DeLong<\/strong> won the men\u2019s 400 Medley Relay with a 3:17.18.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>On Saturday, Turk added onto his success from the first day, claiming the top preliminary time in the men\u2019s 400 IM (3:53.78). In finals, he shaved three seconds off, turning in a win (3:50.71- B Cut).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>In Sunday\u00a0morning races, Turk noted the top time coming out of prelims with a 1:47.72 in the men\u2019s 200 Back. He held onto the top spot in the event in finals, touching the wall in 1:46.01 for his third individual win of the weekend, and fourth overall win.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cJoe Turk finished off his senior career very well,\u201d Notre Dame head coach <strong>Mike Litzinger<\/strong> said. \u201cWe\u2019re very proud of all of our seniors, and Joe had an exceptional meet.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>The honor marks the 11th time a Notre Dame student-athlete has earned the Performer of the Week title this season.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Georgia Tech freshman <b>McKenzie Campbell<\/b> was named ACC Swimming women&#8217;s athlete of the week, the conference announced on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Campbell, who has been one of the Tech\u2019s best fly swimmers this season, earned the honor after finishing the 100 fly at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in a personal-best time of 54.85. It was the fastest 100 fly time on the team this season, and is tied for seventh on the program\u2019s all-time list. <u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>A native of Greensboro, N.C., Campbell finished first in the 200 fly three times this season, and has earned 11 top-3 finishes overall.<u><\/u><u><\/u><\/p>\n<p>The Georgia Tech women are preparing for the ACC Swimming Championships in Greensboro, N.C., which runs Feb. 19-22.
