Desert Hills \u2013 260<br \/>\n2. Sky View &#8211; 253<br \/>\n3. Snow Canyon &#8211; 252.5<br \/>\n4. Ridgeline \u2013 208.5<br \/>\n5. Green Canyon &#8211; 154<\/p>\n<p>The meet began as Snow Canyon&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cambria Callaway\u00a0<\/strong>(27.76),\u00a0<strong>Hailee Phillips\u00a0<\/strong>(33.46),\u00a0<strong>Kylie Barber\u00a0<\/strong>(26.42), and\u00a0<strong>Breanna Graves\u00a0<\/strong>(25.70) won the opening 4&#215;50 medley relay in a combined time of 1:53.34.<\/p>\n<p>Desert Hills&#8217; <strong>Caitlin Romprey\u00a0<\/strong>cruised to first in the 200 free, stopping the clock in 1:58.75 as the only swimmer in the field to crack the two-minute marker. The junior then went on to win the 100 back in 57.25 for the third-consecutive year as the first of only two swimmers to sneak under the minute barrier.<\/p>\n<p>Snow Canyon\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Kylie Barber\u00a0<\/strong>dominated the 200 IM, finishing the event in 2:12.37 to beat the field by well over five seconds. After placing second in the 100 fly a year ago, Barber found herself on top of the podium this season after getting her hands to the wall first in 59.32 as the only athlete to break the 60-second barrier.<\/p>\n<p>Snow Canyon&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gretchen Snelders\u00a0<\/strong>splashed-and-dashed her way to the state title in the 50 free, racing to the wall in 24.68 to edge out Ridgeline&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Carly Eubanks\u00a0<\/strong>(24.88) by two-tenths. It was a tight battle in the 100 free, and ultimately Eubanks and Snelders tied for first with a final time of 54.12 to share the gold medal.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kela Hansen\u00a0<\/strong>of Desert Hills raced to the top of the podium in the 500 free, finishing eight seconds ahead of the field in a final time of 5:25.10. Sky View&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jenna Gibbons <\/strong>got her hands to the wall the fastest in the 100 breast, touching in 1:07.66 for a four-second victory.<\/p>\n<p>Ridgeline&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hailey Rigby\u00a0<\/strong>(26.42),\u00a0<strong>Sarah McNeil\u00a0<\/strong>(26.40),\u00a0<strong>Savannah Christensen\u00a0<\/strong>(26.18), and Eubanks (24.51) won the 4&#215;50 free relay in 1:43.51 while Snow Canyon&#8217;s Snelders (54.90), <strong>Silvia Leon-Moreno\u00a0<\/strong>(59.46),\u00a0<strong>Cambria Callaway\u00a0<\/strong>(54.51), and Barber (52.32) won the 4&#215;100 free relay in 3:41.19.<\/p>\n<h1>Boys Meet<\/h1>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<p>1. Desert Hills &#8211; 250<br \/>\n2. Sky View &#8211; 226<br \/>\n3. Snow Canyon &#8211; 223<br \/>\n4. Juan Diego &#8211; 197<br \/>\n5. Mountain Crest &#8211; 165<\/p>\n<p>The boys&#8217; meet began as Juan Diego&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>William Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>(26.36),\u00a0<strong>Alexander Gustat\u00a0<\/strong>(26.74),\u00a0<strong>Payton Bouwhuis\u00a0<\/strong>(24.39), and\u00a0 <strong>Hiva Aitamai\u00a0<\/strong>(21.43) won the opening 4&#215;50 medley relay in 1:38.92.<\/p>\n<p>After helping his medley relay team to victory, Gustat was back in the pool to win the 100 fly in 52.13. He also defended his state title in the 100 breast as the first of only three swimmers under 60 seconds, doing so in a final time of 58.67.<\/p>\n<p>Plumb<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>cruised to first in the 200 free, stopping the clock in 1:38.75 to win the event by six seconds as the only swimmer to break 1:40. His time broke his own Class 4A record of 1:38.85 he had set during prelims, and also broke the overall Utah state record of 1:39.07 set by\u00a0<strong>Long Gutierrez\u00a0<\/strong>in 2013. The senior&#8217;s second individual gold medal of the meet came in the 100 back after he powered home to a three-second victory in 51.22.<\/p>\n<p>Canyon View&#8217;s <strong>Max Cannon\u00a0<\/strong>earned the gold medal in the 200 IM, finishing the race in 1:56.88 to drop nearly six seconds off his prelims time as the first of only two athletes to crack two minutes. Sky View\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Darwin Anderson\u00a0<\/strong>successfully defended his state title in the 500 free in dominant fashion, winning the race by 20 seconds in 4:34.56.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ashton Anderson <\/strong>gave Desert Hills another gold medal after he grabbed the gold medal in the 50 free with a time of 21.48 to edge out his teammate\u00a0<strong>Hyatt Iverson\u00a0<\/strong>(21.52). For the second-straight year, Anderson won the 100 free with a time of 46.06, again ahead of Iverson who was second in 47.82.<\/p>\n<p>Desert Hills&#8217; Plumb (21.12),\u00a0<strong>Alex Haws\u00a0<\/strong>(22.89), Iverson (21.55), and A. Anderson (21.00) won the 4&#215;50 free relay in a combined time of 1:26.56, four seconds ahead of the runner-up. Plumb (45.39), Haws (50.19), Iverson (47.88), and A.
