NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Winter Juniors qualifier\u00a0Rian Covington\u00a0<\/strong>of Jacksonville, Fla. has announced his in-state commitment to Florida State University beginning in the fall of 2021.<\/p>\n

Primarily a sprint freestyler and butterflyer, Covington swims year-round with Bolles School Sharks and recently earned a pair of best times at Juniors East in December. This past summer, he finished 12th in the 50m fly at Gainesville Sectionals before going on to place 16th in the 50m free at Greensboro Futures.<\/p>\n

He told\u00a0Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n

“It is with much gratitude and humbleness that I am pleased to announce my verbal commitment to Florida State University to pursue my academic and swimming goals.
