Despite the Sun Devils\u2019 loss (117-177) in the dual meet, Nordin won every single individual event she entered. The junior swimmer tabbed her fifth win in both the 500-yard (4:44.57) and 1,000-yard freestyle (9:42.97). She also had her first win in the 200- free (1:47.41), her first time swimming in the event this season.<\/p>\n<p>Nordin has not placed lower than second in any single dual meet this season. This is the first time this season that Nordin has been named Pac-12 Women\u2019s Swimmer of the Week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also Nominated:<\/strong>\u00a0Alicia Wilson, California; Alex Crisera, Stanford; Sara McClendon, Utah.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/pac-12-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">More Pac-12 News<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>PAC-12 CONFERENCE WOMEN\u2019S DIVER OF THE WEEK: Naomi Gowlett, Sr., USC (Queensland, Australia)<\/strong><br \/>\nGowlett (Queensland, Australia) won two events <a href=\"https:\/\/pac-12.com\/article\/2020\/02\/05\/pac-12-announces-womens-swimmer-and-diver-week\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">over the weekend<\/a> as USC was defeated in dual meets against top-talent in No. 1 California (136.5-161.5) and No. 5 Stanford (110.50-183.50).<\/p>\n<p>Gowlett took first in the 1-meter event on both days of competition, scoring 291.00 points versus Cal on Friday and 298.80 versus Stanford on Saturday in Pac-12 Conference action. The senior\u2019s two victories were the most in a weekend since she won three events against the Arizona schools in November. Gowlett has won the 1-meter four times this season and the 3-meter event once in dual-meet action.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first time this season that Gowlett has been named Pac-12 Women\u2019s Diver of the Week.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also Nominated:<\/strong>\u00a0Ruby Neave, UCLA; Emma Ruchala, Utah.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MEN\u2019S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: <\/strong><strong>David Fridlander<\/strong><strong>, R-So., Utah (Netanya, Israel)<\/strong><br \/>\nFridlander earned three titles last week, helping the Utes sweep in-state rival BYU as the men won 160-138. The sophomore swimmer had a standout performance, taking first in the 100-yard backstroke (49.57), the 200-yard backstroke (1:50.35), and the 400-yard freestyle relay (2:59.20). The computer science major earns his first-career swimmer of the week honor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MEN\u2019S DIVER OF THE WEEK: Tony Chen, So., Utah (Cypress, Calif.)<\/strong><br \/>\nChen had a great performance last week after helping the Utes to a strong win over BYU (160-138), competing against the Cougars on the road for the first time in four years. The sophomore won the 3-meter with a score of 365.93, and took third in the 1-meter with a score of 316.70 last Saturday.
