The result gave her two pool records in as many days after she covered the 100 free in 47.79 vs. Arizona on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;To be honest, I&#8217;m not really sure what the records were before I swam,&#8221; Weitzeil said. &#8220;I kind of just go for racing. I have my own personal best times in my head, so having the pool record and to leave my mark like that is pretty cool.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/pac-12-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">MORE PAC-12 COVERAGE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In addition to her 50 free, <a href=\"https:\/\/calbears.com\/sports\/womens-swimming-and-diving\/roster\/abbey-weitzeil\/14534\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Weitzeil<\/a> cruised to a convincing win in the 200 free with a time of 1:44.88, while she also anchored both the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay to victories.<\/p>\n<p>Sophomore <strong>Isabel Ivey<\/strong> had a big afternoon herself with first-place finishes in the 100 back (53.21), 100 free (50.00) and 100 fly (53.00). Sophomore <strong>Ema Rajic<\/strong> also won twice, taking both the 100 breast (1:03.00) and the 200 breast (2:16.71).<\/p>\n<p>Cal&#8217;s other individual swimming winner was sophomore <strong>Alicia Wilson<\/strong>, who claimed the 400 individual medley with an impressive 4:13.89 for a nearly nine-second gap over runner-up and teammate Sarah Darcel (4:22.37).<\/p>\n<p>For the second day in a row, <strong>Briana Thai<\/strong> earned wins in both diving events \u2013 1-meter (250.95) and 3-meter (269.48).<\/p>\n<p>The Bears wrapped up the day when an all-senior squad of<strong> Aislinn Light, Keaton Blovad, Maddie Murphy<\/strong> and Weitzeil captured the 400 free relay in 3:20.29. Weitzeil&#8217;s 46.98 split brought the foursome back from two seconds down over the final 100 yards.<\/p>\n<p>The meet marked the final home appearance for Cal swimming&#8217;s six seniors \u2013 Light, Blovad, Murphy and Weitzeil, as well as <strong>Alexa Buckley<\/strong> and <strong>Courtney Mykkanen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u2014 The above press release was posted by Swimming World in conjunction with Cal Swimming<\/i><i>.
