He earned a pair of gold medals at the MAKO Invite last month and notched 100% lifetime bests at NCSAs last summer.\u00a0A current junior at Loveland High School, Day finished seventh in both the 100 back and 200 free at the Ohio State Championships as a junior while taking 11th in the 500 free during his sophomore season.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding his commitment, he said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>&#8220;I\u2019m very proud to announce my commitment to THE Ohio State University to further my academic and athletic career. I have been truly blessed to fulfill my lifelong goal of becoming a Buckeye! After meeting with the coaching staff and team, touring the facilities, and experiencing the culture at Ohio State, I knew this place was special. The environment, family-knit team, tradition, resources available, and strive for greatness here are unparalleled. I believe the coaches and philosophy of the program here will develop me into the swimmer and person I am supposed to become. A big shout out to my family, coaches, and friends who helped me turn my dream into a reality. He recently won the 1000\/1650 free combo at the NBAC Christmas Invite after earning seven top-20 finishes at TYR Summer Seniors this past summer. Also competing for St. Mary&#8217;s High School, Edwards placed fourth in the 500 free and 11th in the 200 free as a junior at the National Catholic Championships.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cI am extremely excited to announce my verbs commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at THE Ohio State University.
