She was the Pac-12 and CSCAA National Coach of the Year in 2018-19, having led Cal to a second-place finish at NCAAs. It\u2019s the 11th consecutive top-3 finish for Cal, a stretch that includes four national titles (2009, 2011, 2012, 2015). She was inducted to the Cal Athletic Hall of Fame in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTeri McKeever is an iconic coach with an international reputation that is second to none,\u201d Director of Athletics <strong>Jim Knowlton<\/strong> said <a href=\"https:\/\/calbears.com\/news\/2020\/1\/13\/womens-swimming-diving-teri-mckeever-agrees-to-contract-extension.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">in a university statement<\/a>. \u201cAs much as she develops student-athletes to reach their potential in the pool, Teri also cares deeply about them as individuals and works just as hard to ensure they graduate from Cal prepared to be leaders in their post-collegiate careers. We look forward to having Teri lead our program for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The eight-time Pac-12 Coach of the Year, McKeever\u2019s swimmers have captured 65 NCAA individual or relay titles. The Golden Bears have had a 100 percent graduation rate the last four years and have been named a Scholar All-American team for 19 straight semesters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d like to thank Jim Knowlton and our administration for their enduring support of women\u2019s swimming &amp; diving,\u201d McKeever said. \u201cI am proud of what we have accomplished as a program and am looking forward to continuing our level of success. While we have been able to accomplish a lot during my time at Cal, there is much more that lies ahead, and I am excited for our future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Teri McKeever has served as an Olympic assistant coach on two occasions and was the U.S. women\u2019s head coach for the 2012 Games in London. She\u2019s been an assistant for seven United States delegations to the World Championships. McKeever has coached 26 Olympians who\u2019ve garnered 36 medals.<\/p>\n<p>The Golden Bears are ranked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/cal-women-take-over-top-spot-texas-men-lead-in-december-cscaa-division-i-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">No. 1 in the nation this year<\/a> with a 3-0 dual meet record.
