Last short course season, she raced four events at NCSAs. A current junior at Adlai E Stevenson School, Eastmond placed 10th in the 100 back at the 2019 Illinois State Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding her commitment, she said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #c25004;\">&#8220;I&#8217;m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Virginia Tech. I would like to thank my friends, coaches, teammates, and my family for helping achieve this. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American had a pair of top-16 finishes at YMCA LCM Nationals after she earned 100% best times at Virginia LCM Seniors last summer.\u00a0 Also competing for Monticello High School, Vanyo\u00a0won the 100 fly and took third in the 100 free as a sophomore while claiming bronze in the 50\/100 free combo during her freshman season at the Virginia 3A State Championships.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #c25004;\"><strong>&#8220;I am thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to swim at Virginia Tech.
