Stanford swimming kicked of 2020 with a convincing 198-82 win over Pacific in a dual meet on Saturday at Avery Aquatics Center.<\/p>\n

The Cardinal won all 16 events with Grant Shoults<\/a>, James Murphy<\/strong> and Conor Casey<\/strong> each winning two events.<\/p>\n

Stanford started the meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay \u2013 the team of Benjamin Ho, Brennan Pastorek, Alex Liang<\/strong> and Mason Gonzalez<\/strong> (1:29.19) touched first.<\/p>\n

Matthew Hirschberger<\/strong> (9:20.03) won the 1,000-yard freestyle, followed by Murphy\u2019s (1:39.33) win in the 200-yard freestyle. Ho (49.03) won the 100-yard backstroke before Pastorek (55.29) captured the 100-yard breaststroke. Shoults (1:48.50) won the 200-yard butterfly, Jordan Greenberg<\/strong> (20.80) won the 50-yard freestyle and Levant (45.26) was fastest in the 100-yard freestyle.<\/p>\n

On the diving side of the competition, Casey won both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard. Casey\u2019s score of 356.48 won the 1-meter and his 311.18 total on the 3-meter made it two wins on the day for the sophomore.<\/p>\n

In the 200-yard backstroke, Johannes Calloni<\/strong> (1:44.52) touched first and Daniel Roy<\/strong> (1:58.84) won the 200-yard breaststroke by over seven seconds. Murphy (4:29.54) won his second event of the day, the 500-yard freestyle, and Macmillan (48.79) claimed the 100-yard butterfly. Shoults (3:54.01) won the final individual event of the day in the 400-yard individual medley before the Cardinal\u2019s team of Gonzalez, Greenberg, Macmillan and Will Tarvestad<\/strong> (1:22.46) won the 200-yard freestyle relay to wrap up the meet.<\/p>\n
