Virginia&#8217;s <strong>Morgan Hill<\/strong> was second in 47.74, followed by Georgia&#8217;s <strong>Veronica Burchill<\/strong> (47.75).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">The Volunteers won with 1,068.5 points, finishing ahead of Georgia (984.5), Virginia (778), Indiana (656), Carson-Newman (138) and UNC-Asheville (11).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Georgia won the men&#8217;s meet with 961, followed by Indiana (942), Tennessee (839.5), Virginia (524.5), and Carson-Newman (180).<\/p>\n<p>Brown put together a stellar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/erika-brown-strikes-again-with-49-79-in-100-fly-at-tennessee-invitational\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">100 fly<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/erika-brown-matches-anna-hopkins-21-19-in-50-free-at-tennessee-kate-douglass-crushes-200-im\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">50 free<\/a> earlier in the meet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Brown wasn&#8217;t the only Volunteer to win on the meet&#8217;s final night.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Tennessee&#8217;s <strong>Meghan Small<\/strong> used a quick start and a strong final 25 in the 200 backstroke to win in 1:52.20, holding off Virginia&#8217;s <strong>Emma Seiberlich<\/strong> 91:52.81).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><strong>Bailey Grinter, Stanzi Mosely, Tjasa Pinta<\/strong>r and Brown won the 400 free relay in 3:11.27, an NCAA automatic cut, holding off Virginia&#8217;s <strong>Kate Douglass<\/strong>, <strong>Paige Madden, Lexi Cuomo<\/strong> and Hill (3:12.30).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Douglass continued her strong meet, winning the 200 breaststroke in 2:06.40, an NCAA automatic qualifying time. Georgia&#8217;s <strong>Zoie Hartman<\/strong> (2:07.43) was second with a provisional cut. Madden won the 1650 free in 15:58.25 to hold off Georgia&#8217;s <strong>Olivia Anderson<\/strong> (16:00.84).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Georgia&#8217;s <strong>Dakota Luther<\/strong> crushed the field in the 200 butterfly, winning by nearly a second in 1:53.2, an NCAA \u201cA\u201d cut. Teammate <strong>Courtney Harnish<\/strong> was second in 1:54.39.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">In the men&#8217;s meet, Indiana&#8217;s <strong>Bruno Blasovic<\/strong> won the 100 free in 42.44 ahead of Tennessee&#8217;s <strong>Alec Connolly<\/strong> (43.28) in the top time in the NCAA this season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Indiana&#8217;s <strong>Mikey Calvillo<\/strong> won the 1650 free in 14:46.25, going 1-2 with teammate Will Gallant (14:49.00). <strong>Mohamed Samy<\/strong> won the 200 backstroke in 1:41.03 ahead of Tennessee&#8217;s <strong>Matthew Garcia<\/strong> (1:41.42). <strong>Brendan Burns<\/strong> won the 200 butterfly in 1:41.45 to hold off Georgia&#8217;s <strong>Camden Murphy<\/strong> (1:42.49).<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Samy, Blasovic, Burns and<strong> Jack Franzman<\/strong> won the 400 free relay in 2:50.11, an NCAA \u201cA\u201d cut. Virginia&#8217;s <strong>Ryan Baker, Joe Clark, Cooper Wozencraft<\/strong> and <strong>Sam Schilling<\/strong> took second in in 2:50.83, another \u201cA\u201d cut.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><strong>Matthew Dunphy<\/strong> won the 200 breaststroke in 1:55.60 ahead of <strong>Michael Houlie<\/strong> (1:55.95).<\/p>\n<p>The meet closed with several fast swims, but Erika Brown concluded the meet with more domination.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jonesaquaticcenter.com\/livestats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RESULTS<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Erika Brown swam another NCAA leading time to lead the Tennessee women to a first-place finish at the Tennessee Invitational on Saturday in Knoxville.
