The meet continued Saturday with preliminaries at 8 a.m. followed by platform diving at 2 p.m. and swimming finals at 6:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>The No. 14-ranked women increased their lead over second place Kentucky to 118 points while the men, ranked No. 16 nationally, have a 50-point lead over Notre Dame after leading by just one point after Day 1.<\/p>\n<p>Demler won the 400-yard individual medley for her third win of the meet while junior <strong>Hanna Gresser<\/strong> was first in the 100-yard breaststroke. The Buckeyes also got a win in the 200-yard medley relay.<\/p>\n<p>For the second consecutive day, the divers took the top three spots. <strong>Jacob Fielding, Lyle Yost<\/strong> and <strong>Jacob Siler<\/strong> were the top three on the three-meter springboard. Ohio State started the meet strong with a one-two finish in the 200-medley relay. The Buckeyes\u2019 <strong>Cameron Craig<\/strong> won the 100-yard butterfly and <strong>Jason Mathews<\/strong> led a one-two-three Ohio State finish in the 100-yard breaststroke.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Women\u2019s Team Scores thru Day 2:<\/b><br \/>\n1. Kentucky: 1,215.50<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/meet\/big-ten-swimming\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BIG TEN COVERAGE<\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>SWIMMING FINALS \u2013 WOMEN<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>200-Yard Medley Relay \u2013\u00a0<\/b>Ohio State\u2019s A team of senior Rebekah Bradley, junior Hanna Gresser, junior Katie Trace and junior Freya Rayner won the race and 80 points in a time of 1:37.37.<\/p>\n<p><b>100-Yard Butterfly \u2013<\/b>\u00a0Katie Trace was the sole Buckeye swimmer in the championship final, finishing fourth with a time of 53.41. Freshmen Aislinn Walsh and Kennady Kilger swam in the consolation finals and finished 15th and 18th, respectively, with times of 54.90 and 55.31.<\/p>\n<p><b>400-Yard Individual Medley<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Senior Kathrin Demler won her third race of the meet, winning in 4:03.96, after taking the 400-meter and 500-yard freestyles on Thursday. Right behind Demler were teammates Trace in third in 4:11.32 and sophomore Sally Tafuto fourth in 4:11.85. Senior Molly Kowal also scored points in the A final, taking eighth in 4:16.87.<\/p>\n<p><b>200-Yard Freestyle \u2013<\/b>\u00a0Senior Lucija Jurkovic-Perisa led the way for the Buckeyes with a fourth-place finish in 1:46.59 while sophomore Georgia White (6th in 1:48.05) and Nicole Fye (9th in 1:50.00) also scored in the championship final.<\/p>\n<p><b>100-Yard Breaststroke \u2013\u00a0<\/b>Junior Hanna Gresser won the race in a time of 1:00.34. Also scoring championship final points for the Buckeye were freshmen Josie Panitz, who was seventh in 1:01.79, and junior Laura Banks, eighth in 1:02.28.<\/p>\n<p><b>100-Yard Backstroke \u2013<\/b>\u00a0This event did not feature a Buckeye in the final, but the top four finishers in the consolation final all were in Scarlet and Gray: senior Rebekah Bradley was 11th (53.27), senior Devin Landstra was 12th (53.87), Brynna Wolfe was 13th (54.29) and Rayner was 14th (54.32).<\/p>\n<p><b>800-Yard Freestyle Relay \u2013\u00a0<\/b>Ohio State\u2019s A team of Trace, junior Kristen Romano, Jurkovic-Perisa and Demler placed second in a time of 7:12.07.<\/p>\n<p><b>DIVING FINALS &#8211; WOMEN<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>1-Meter \u2013<\/b>\u00a0Freshman Jackie Brenn, junior Lexie Barker and freshman Mackenzie Crawford finished eighth, ninth and 10th, respectively.<\/p>\n<p><b>SWIMMING FINALS \u2013 MEN<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>200-Medley Relay \u2013\u00a0<\/b>Ohio State started strong with a one-two finish by its A and B medley relay teams. Sophomore RJ Kondalski, junior Paul Delakis, senior Noah Lense and junior Cameron Craig won with a time of 1:26.21. The team of junior Colin McDermott and sophomores Jason Mathews, Joe Pohlmann and Semuede Andreis was right behind the champs with a time of 1:26.60. The finishes were worth 148 combined points.<\/p>\n<p><b>100-Yard Butterfly \u2013\u00a0<\/b>Cameron Craig was first in the morning prelims with an Olympic trials qualifying time of 53.81 at 100 meters and he won the evening final with a time of 46.57. Noah Lense moved up three places to take second in 47.00.<\/p>\n<p><b>400-Yard Individual Medley<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Notre Dame swimmers took five of the first six places while Ohio State freshman Thomas Watkins was eighth 3:55.91.<\/p>\n<p><b>200-Yard Freestyle \u2013<\/b>\u00a0Paul Delakis took third for the Buckeyes in a time of 1:34.97.<\/p>\n<p><b>100-Yard Breaststroke \u2013\u00a0<\/b>Ohio State dominated, taking the first three spots led by Jason Mathews\u2019 winning time of 53.69. Junior Evan McFadden was second in 54.48 and sophomore Hudson McDaniel was third in 54.34. Junior Connor Isings was ninth in 55.36.<\/p>\n<p><b>100-Yard Backstroke \u2013<\/b>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/ohiostatebuckeyes.com\/sports\/m-swim\/roster\/season\/2019-20\/cameron-craig\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Craig<\/a> hit his second Olympic trials qualifying standard of the day with a 55.31 swim at 100-meters and then he went 47.62 in the 100-yard backstroke to take second. Three other Buckeyes made the championship final and scored: McDermott was fourth (48.04), Kondalski was fifth (48.68) and Watkins was eighth in 49.12.<\/p>\n<p><b>800-Yard Freestyle Relay \u2013\u00a0<\/b>Ohio State\u2019s A team of DeLakis, Lov, senior Matthew Abevsinghe and sophomore Lain Weaver took fifth in a time of 6:33.00.<\/p>\n<p><b>DIVING FINALS &#8211; MEN<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>3-Meter \u2013<\/b>\u00a0The Buckeyes swept the diving competition for the second consecutive day at this invite. Sophomore Jacob Fielding won for the second time in two days with a score of 390.40 points.
