On the men\u2019s side, the diving trio of <strong>Jacob Fielding, Jacob Siler<\/strong> and <strong>Lyle Yost<\/strong> swept on the 1 meter springboard and earned 106 team points to propel the Buckeye men to the top of the leaderboard by one point after day one of competition.<\/p>\n<p><b>Women\u2019s Day 1 Team Scores:<\/b><br \/>\n1. Ohio State: 752<br \/>\n2. Kentucky: 606<br \/>\n3. UCLA: 551.50<br \/>\n4. Notre Dame: 534<br \/>\n5. Virginia Tech: 388.50<br \/>\n6. Yale: 328<br \/>\n7. Buffalo: 295<br \/>\n8. Ohio University: 153<\/p>\n<p><b>Men\u2019s Day 1 Team Scores:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>1. Ohio State: 640<br \/>\n2. Yale: 639<br \/>\n3. Notre Dame: 619<br \/>\n4. Kentucky: 611<br \/>\n5. Virginia Tech: 559<\/p>\n<p><u><\/u>\u00a0<u><\/u><\/p>\n<p><b>SWIMMING FINAL \u2013 WOMEN<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Kathrin Demler<\/strong> finished first in the 400 meter freestyle with a time of 4:13.51 during the morning heats. Her swim was good for an Olympic trail cut, her second of the day as she also earned a cut for her 200 IM prelim swim (2:14.18). <strong>Nicole Fye<\/strong> finished third in the 400 free (4:16.97) with <strong>Molly Kowal<\/strong> rounding out the Buckeyes in the Top 10 as she placed seventh (4:17.92).<\/li>\n<li>In the 500 yard freestyle, Kathrin Demler placed first and set a new team record at 4:37.22. She was followed by Kowal who finished third at 4:43.24.<\/li>\n<li>In the 200 yard IM final, Kathrin Demler took second (1:56.45), finishing less than a second behind the first place finisher from Kentucky. <strong>Katie Trace<\/strong> touched fifth with a time of 1:59.27. In the morning prelims, Trace\u2019s time of 2:16.95 in the 200 IM earned her an Olympic trial cut.<\/li>\n<li>Ohio State\u2019s 200 free relay \u201cA\u201d team of <strong>Taylor Petrak, Freya Rayner, Rebekah Bradley<\/strong> and <strong>Amy Fulmer<\/strong> placed first with a time of 1:29.90.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Rebekah Bradley, Hanna Gresse<\/strong>r, Trace and Petrak finished second in the 400 yard medley relay (3:35.01).<\/li>\n<li>Petrak was the Buckeye\u2019s top finisher in the 50 freestyle, placing fourth with a time of 22.66. Rayner trailed Petrak by .11 seconds and finished fifth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>SWIMMING FINAL \u2013 MEN<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Ohio State \u201cA\u201d team of <strong>Sem Andreis, Cameron Craig, Joe Pohlmann<\/strong> and <strong>Paul DeLakis<\/strong> finished second in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:18.99. The Buckeye\u2019s \u201cB\u201d team finished fifth (<strong>Andrew Loy, Colin McDermott, Matthew Abeysinghe, RJ Kondalski<\/strong>) at 1:20.80.<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li>DeLakis touched second in the 200 yard IM (1:45.65), just .58 seconds off the pace of the first place finisher from Kentucky. Daniel Gloude finished fourth in the event at 1:48.23.<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Sophomore <strong>Sem Andreis<\/strong> competed in the A final of the men\u2019s 50 free and placed eighth with a time of 20.21.<b><\/b><\/li>\n<li>Ohio State\u2019s \u201cA\u201d 400 yard medley relay team of Kondalski, <strong>Jason Mathews,<\/strong> Craig and Loy swam to victory with a time of 3:10.51, earning 80 total points for the Buckeyes. OSU\u2019s \u201cB\u201d team (<strong>Thomas Watkins<\/strong>, DeLakis, <strong>Noah Lense<\/strong>, Abeysinghe) tied for third with Kentucky at 3:12.20.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>DIVING FINAL \u2013 WOMEN<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ohio State finished one-two in women\u2019s 3 meter diving as <strong>Genevieve Angerame<\/strong> took the top spot with a score of 315.50 while freshman <strong>Mackenzie<\/strong> <strong>Crawford<\/strong> finished second with 303.90 total points. <strong>Lexie Barker<\/strong> rounded out the Top 5 finishes for the Buckeyes as she placed fourth with 272.70 points.<b><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><u><\/u>\u00a0<u><\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>DIVING FINAL \u2013 MEN<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Buckeye men swept the podium on the 1 meter springboard with <strong>Jacob Fielding<\/strong> finishing first (357.85),<strong> Jacob Siler<\/strong> taking second (356.80) and <strong>Lyle<\/strong> <strong>Yost<\/strong> placing third (355.35). <b><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Up Next<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Competition resumes tomorrow at 10 a.m. for day two preliminary heats.
