La Center\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Hailey Grotte\u00a0<\/strong>(50 free, 100 free) and Steilacoom&#8217;s <strong>Alejandra Ruppe <\/strong>(100 back, 200 IM) were the meet&#8217;s double-event winners.<\/p>\n<p>Click <a href=\"http:\/\/wiaa.com\/results\/swim\/19-20\/2Agirls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">HERE<\/a> for full results.<\/p>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<p>1. Liberty (Renton) \u2013 268<br \/>\n2. Sammamish \u2013 264<br \/>\n3. Anacortes &#8211; 166<br \/>\n4. North Kitsap &#8211; 159<br \/>\n5. Aberdeen \u2013 139<\/p>\n<p>The meet began as Sammamish&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kayla Chenier\u00a0<\/strong>(28.08),\u00a0<strong>Milan Manfredi\u00a0<\/strong>(31.45),\u00a0<strong>Jillian Weber\u00a0<\/strong>(26.93), and\u00a0<strong>Katie Walz\u00a0<\/strong>(24.36) won the opening 4&#215;50 medley relay in a combined time of 1:50.82, nearly three seconds faster than runner-up Aberdeen (1:53.29).<\/p>\n<p>North Kitsap\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Brianna Hoffman\u00a0<\/strong>successfully defended her 2A state title in the 200 free, turning in a time of 1:57.78 as the first of only four swimmers to dip under the two-minute barrier. Cheney&#8217;s <strong>Janie Richards\u00a0<\/strong>dominated the 500 free, posting a six-second victory in 5:18.99 ahead of Pullman&#8217;s <strong>Melrose Gilbert\u00a0<\/strong>(5:24.78).<\/p>\n<p>After finishing second in the 50 free last season, Grotte<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>sprinted to the gold medal this year after clock in at 23.69. Grotte, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/washington-state-gets-first-2020-verbal-from-in-state-standout-hailey-grotte\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">who is committed to Washington State<\/a>, proved her sprint prowess by claiming another victory in the 100 free in a quick 51.54. Walz earned silver in both the 50 free (23.96) and 100 free (53.10).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Taylor Bloedorn\u00a0<\/strong>of Fife dove to first on the 1-meter board for the second-consecutive year with a final score of 340.70, only two points better than\u00a0Liberty (Renton)\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Eleanor Brecht\u00a0<\/strong>who posted a score of 338.15 for second place.<\/p>\n<p>Aberdeen&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Annika Eisele<\/strong> flew to the top of the podium in the 100 fly, defending her title in 57.65 as the first of only two athletes in the field under the 60-second marker. J. Weber took second in 59.41. La Center\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Bryanna<\/strong> <strong>Ungs<\/strong>, who earned silver in the 100 breast only a season ago, got her hands to the wall the quickest in the 100 breast after turning in a time of 1:06.07 to finish slightly ahead of\u00a0<strong>Anna Weber\u00a0<\/strong>(1:06.12) of Aberdeen.<\/p>\n<p>Ruppe<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>led the charge in the 200 IM, stopping the clock in 2:10.67 for the win ahead of ANAC freshman\u00a0<strong>Lindsay Brown\u00a0<\/strong>(2:11.98). Ruppe, only a sophomore, also won the 100 back as the first of three swimmers to dip under the minute-marker, doing so in 58.07 ahead of Chenier (59.08) and Eisele (59.90).<\/p>\n<p>Liberty Renton&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shaye Agnew\u00a0<\/strong>(25.96),\u00a0<strong>Selena Lam\u00a0<\/strong>(25.15),\u00a0<strong>Keira Pham\u00a0<\/strong>(25.76), and\u00a0<strong>Keaton Canaday\u00a0<\/strong>(24.72) posted a one-second victory in the 4&#215;50 free relay over runner-up North Kitsap (1:42.68). Sammamish&#8217;s Walz (53.22), J.
