The talented sprinter will arrive in Athens as a member of the class of 2025 along with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/world-juniors-team-member-rachel-stege-sends-verbal-to-georgia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Rachel Stege<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fretz, who\u00a0has already achieved the 2020 Olympic Trials cut in the 50m free, swims year-round with Northridge Area Swimming Association and earned a best time in the 100m free this past summer at Phillips 66 Nationals. She won the 50 free and was the 100 free runner-up during her sophomore season after racing to second in both of those events during her rookie campaign. She has also earned both NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors for her efforts.<\/p>\n<p>In SCY, her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 free &#8211; 22.74<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 49.48<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:47.47<\/li>\n<li>100 fly &#8211; 54.32<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In LCM, her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50m free &#8211; 25.96 (Olympic Trials cut)<\/li>\n<li>100m free &#8211; 56.74<\/li>\n<li>200m free &#8211; 2:01.75<\/li>\n<li>100m fly &#8211; 1:01.09<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Even with 1.5 years of club swimming still to go before suiting up for the Dawgs at the start of the 2021-22 season, Fretz will add valuable depth both individually and on relays.
