He placed 22nd in the 1500m free at Junior Nationals this past summer after earning gold in the 800m free, silver in the 1500m free, and bronze in the 400m free at Greensboro Futures. Last winter, he earned 100% best time at Georgia Seniors before going on to record three top-25 finishes at NCSAs.<\/p>\n<p>Also competing for Sequoyah High School, Davis is already a three-time Georgia 6-7A State Championship finalist. The USA Swimming Scholastic All-American placed fourth in the 500 free and fifth in the 200 free as a sophomore while placing 10th in the latter during his freshman season.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>&#8220;I&#8217;m very proud to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Auburn University!
