Texas sophomore\u00a0<strong>Daniel Krueger\u00a0<\/strong>posted the nation&#8217;s top time in the 100 free with a 43.03.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/vmrw8k5h.tinifycdn.com\/results\/pdf\/2019-louisville-vs-texas-vs-indiana-scy-ncaa-college-2019-11-09.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RESULTS<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Team Scores (Men)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No. 4 Indiana 189.5, No. 9 Louisville 91.5<\/li>\n<li>No. 2 Texas 160, No. 4 Indiana 118<\/li>\n<li>No. 2 Texas 198, No. 9 Louisville 76<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Team Scores (Women)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No. 18 Indiana 142, No. 13 Louisville 139<\/li>\n<li>No. 8 Texas 168, No. 18 Indiana 113<\/li>\n<li>No. 8 Texas 146, No. 13 Louisville 135<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Texas Swimming and Diving Press Release<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Men<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The grouping of <strong>Chris Staka<\/strong>, <strong>Charlie Scheinfeld<\/strong>, <strong>Alvin Jiang<\/strong>, and <strong>Daniel Krueger<\/strong> won the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:26.60.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chris Yeager<\/strong> and <strong>Jack Collins<\/strong> finished in second and third place, respectively, in the 1000 Free with times of 9:08.53 and 9:13.11.<\/li>\n<li>In the 200 Free, <strong>Maxime Rooney<\/strong> and <strong>Drew Kibler<\/strong> went 2-3 with times of 1:35.65 and 1:36.80, respectively. Rooney also finished in second in the 100 Free at 43.32.<\/li>\n<li>The Longhorns went 1-2-3-4 in the 100 Back. Jiang claimed the title with a time of 47.05, Staka came in second at 47.35, <strong>Ryan Harty<\/strong> followed in third with a 47.74 mark, and <strong>Austin Katz<\/strong> rounded out the group with a fourth-place touch at 48.03. Jiang&#8217;s time is the fourth fastest in the nation this season.<\/li>\n<li>Freshman <strong>Caspar Corbeau<\/strong> claimed the 100 Breast title with a 54.22 race. Corbeau added a second-place finish in the 200 Breast with a time of 1:59.52, while teammate <strong>Jake Foster<\/strong> claimed the win at 1:59.24. Foster also tacked on a second-place finish in the 400 IM to his day with a wall touch at 3:49.31.<\/li>\n<li>The Longhorns also won the 200 Fly with <strong>Sam Pomajevich<\/strong> touching the wall at 1:45.49.<\/li>\n<li>Krueger recorded a win in the 50 Free with a time of 19.80 and the 100 Free with a 43.03. His 100 Free time is the fastest so far in the 2019-20 season.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jordan Windle<\/strong> won the 1-meter diving competition with a 404.00. Andrew Harness took third at 344.95, and Grayson Campbell finished in fourth with a 343.75.<\/li>\n<li>The Longhorns recorded a 1-2-4 finish with Katz taking the top spot at 1:43.27. Harty followed in second at 1:43.48, and Jason Park finished in fourth at 1:47.61.<\/li>\n<li>In the 500 Free, Kibler finished in second at 4:27.33, <strong>Alex Zettle<\/strong> finished in third at 4:27.40, Yeager followed in fourth at 4:27.86, and Pomajevich added a fifth-place finish at 4:29.02.<\/li>\n<li>Staka and Jiang went 1-2 in the 100 Fly, Staka touching at 47.17 and Jiang at 47.54.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Women<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Evie Pfeifer<\/strong> claimed both the 1000 Free (9:46.75) and 500 Free (4:44.83) titles. In the 500 Free, Pfeifer hit her fastest time of the season. <strong>Miranda Heckman<\/strong> followed with a third-place finish in the 1000 Free at 10:02.70. In the 500 Free, <strong>Mary Smutny<\/strong> took fourth at 4:53.22.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kelly Pash<\/strong> won the 200 Free with a time of 1:46.68, the 100 Free at 49.14, and the 400 IM at 4:13.12.<\/li>\n<li>The Longhorns went 1-2 in the 100 Back with <strong>Julia Cook<\/strong> taking the title at 53.75 and <strong>Claire Adams<\/strong> following at 53.89.<\/li>\n<li>Adams added a win in the 200 Back with a time of 1:58.96.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lauren Case<\/strong> finished in second in the 200 Fly with a time of 1:59.45. She also added a third-place finish in the 100 Fly (54.48).<\/li>\n<li>In the 50 Free, <strong>Bridget Semenuk<\/strong> finished in second at 23.07, and <strong>Grace Ariola<\/strong> came in third at 23.43. His pace of 1:35.14 in the 200 free and 3:48.99 each rank third in the NCAA this season.<\/li>\n<li>Calvillo turned in two of the top-10 times nationally in distance events. His 1,000 freestyle time of 9:04.79 is the seventh fastest time in the country, while his 500 freestyle mark of 4:23.37 ranks eighth nationally.<\/li>\n<li>On the women\u2019s side, Peplowski swam the fourth fastest time recorded this season in the 200 breast (2:11.24) and the ninth quickest 100 breast time (1:00.66).<\/li>\n<li>For the second-straight day of competition, Indiana recorded four NCAA Zone Qualifying scores in the diving well. Sophomore <strong>Cole VanDevender<\/strong> recorded a six-dive set score of 359.15 on the 1-meter board to pace the Hoosiers, while junior <strong>Mory Gould<\/strong> tallied 319.75 points. Freshman <strong>Zain Smith<\/strong> recorded a score of 298.65 on the 3-meter board and sophomore <strong>Kayla Laurde<\/strong> posted 281.00 points.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Louisville Press Release<\/h3>\n<p>The Cards started off with a sweep of the first race of the day, 200 medley relay, with the A relay team of <strong>Ashlyn Schoof<\/strong> (25.88), <strong>Mariia Astashkina<\/strong> (27.56), <strong>Grace Oglesby<\/strong> (24.14), and <strong>Lainey Visscher<\/strong> (22.57) put together the winning time of 1:40.15. The B-relay of Kyla Alexander (26.30), Kaylee Wheeler (28.31), Nastja Govejsek (24.17), and Casey Fanz (22.98) were into the wall second with a time of 1:41.76.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 200 medley relay touched the wall in a tie for second with IU with a time of 1:27.15 put up by <strong>Mitchell Whyte<\/strong> (22.34), <strong>Evgenii Somov<\/strong> (24.07), <strong>Nicolas Albiero<\/strong> (21.13), <strong>Mihalis Deliyiannis<\/strong> (19.61). Somov had the fastest split of any breaststroker.<\/p>\n<p>The Cards were led by <strong>Maria Sumida<\/strong> in the 1000 free with a 6th place, coming home in a time of 10:14.52. She was followed by <strong>Sophie Cattermole<\/strong> (10:20.97), <strong>Maddie Luther<\/strong> (10:24.03), and <strong>Maggie Jahns<\/strong> (10:33.52).<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 1000 free, it was<strong> T.C. Smith<\/strong> leading the Cards, touching the wall at 9:23.87 for seventh place. <strong>Hayden Curley<\/strong> finished just over a second behind Smith (9:24.94). <strong>Graham Barrett<\/strong> touched in 9:34.03 and <strong>Ilia Sibirtsev<\/strong> had a 9:50.59.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Arina Openysheva<\/strong> picked up a third place in the 200 free with a time 1:49.49. <strong>Annette Schultz<\/strong> was the second Cardinal to touch the wall in seventh place at 1:50.74.<\/p>\n<p>The Cards picked up a fourth place finish for <strong>Colton Paulson<\/strong> in the men&#8217;s 200 free finishing in a time of 1:37.98. <strong>Michael Eastman<\/strong> clocked in a 1:39.95, <strong>Bartosz Piszczorowicz<\/strong> went 1:40.19 and <strong>Santiago Aguilera<\/strong> posted a 1:40.96.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ashlyn Schoof<\/strong> led the Cardinals with a fourth-place finish in the women&#8217;s 100 backstroke with a time of 55.97. <strong>Kyla Alexander<\/strong> was 7th with a 57.53, <strong>Sofie Underdahl<\/strong> was 8th in 57.56 and <strong>Kelly Tichenor<\/strong> was ninth, boarding a 57.75.<\/p>\n<p>In the men&#8217;s 100 backstroke, <strong>Mitchell Whyte<\/strong> touched the wall as the fastest Cardinal in a time of 48.40, good for fifth place. <strong>Nikkos Sofianids<\/strong> went 49.72 just ahead of teammate <strong>Jack Wever&#8217;s<\/strong> 49.77.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mariia Astashkina<\/strong> and <strong>Morgan Friesen<\/strong> finish 3-4 in the 100 breast. Astashkina finished in a time of 1:01.48 and Friesen touched in at 1:02.92.<\/p>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 100 breast saw <strong>Evgenii Somov<\/strong> pick up second place points with a time of 54.35. He had the fastest 50 split, going out in a 25.27. <strong>Sasha Palazzo<\/strong> was 8th with a time of 56.77 and <strong>Aaron Parrott<\/strong> turned in a 57.31.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grace Oglesby<\/strong> took top honors in the 200 fly, winning by just one-hundredth in time of 1:59.44. <strong>Alena Kraus<\/strong> was third with a 2:00.16<\/p>\n<p>Nicolas Albiero earns a third place in the men&#8217;s 200 fly with a time of 1:47.31. Daniel Sos was fifth with a 1:49.52. <strong>Jarrett Jones<\/strong> turned in a 1:51.24 as the third Cardinal in the field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lainey Visscher<\/strong> won a close race in the 50 free, out-touching the Longhorns&#8217; Bridget Semenuk, winning the event in a time of 23.06. <strong>Casey Fanz<\/strong> was fifth with a 23.55 and <strong>Avery Braunecker<\/strong> was seventh after posting a 23.70.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mihalis Deliyiannis<\/strong> was the first Cardinal to touch the wall in the men&#8217;s 50 free, placing fourth with a 20.25. <strong>Caleb Duncan<\/strong> was 6th in 20.71 and Tanner Cummings touched in 20.86.<\/p>\n<p>In the 100 free, <strong>Arina Openysheva<\/strong> touched 4th in 50.10, <strong>Lainey Visscher<\/strong> was 5th in 51.06 and <strong>Casey Fanz<\/strong> was 7th in 51.50!<\/p>\n<p>In the 100 free, <strong>Bartosz Piszczorowicz<\/strong> went 45.49, <strong>Michael Eastman<\/strong> went 45.61 and <strong>Santiago Aguilera<\/strong> went 45.76!<\/p>\n<p>In the 100 back, <strong>Annette Schultz<\/strong> put up a 3rd place time of 2:00.58, <strong>Ashlyn Schoof<\/strong> was 4th in 2:00.73 and <strong>Sofie Underdahl<\/strong> was 6th in 2:02.49<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nick Albiero<\/strong> was 3rd in the 200 back, boarding a 1:46.55. <strong>Greyson Alarcon<\/strong> was 8th with a 1:49.01 just ahead of teammates <strong>Jack Wever<\/strong> (1:49.42) and <strong>Nikkos Sofianidis<\/strong> (1:49.58).<\/p>\n<p>In 200 breast, <strong>Mariia Astashkina<\/strong> was 2nd with a time of 2:12.14. <strong>Morgan Friesen<\/strong> was 4th (2:16.09) and Diana Dunn 6th in 2:18.98 for the Cardinals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Evgenii Somov<\/strong> touched fourth in 200 breast and teammate Daniel Sos was 7th in 2:01.41. <strong>Aaron Parrot<\/strong> posted a 2:09.20 and <strong>Sasha Palazzo<\/strong> went 2:12.34 to round out the field.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maria Sumida<\/strong> was third in the 500 free with a time of 4:53.00.<strong> Alena Kraus<\/strong> was 7th in 4:58.79 and <strong>Maddie Luther<\/strong> posted a 5:03.56.<\/p>\n<p>In the 500 Free, <strong>T.C.
